Yeah, looking at YouTube TV, Hulu Live TV, and FuboTV. I think the first two don’t offer NFL Network/RedZone though, that will probably be the deal breaker.

With Vue going away, Playstation needs to add these other streaming TV services to their App Store. They had froze competitors out to push to their own service, which will be defunct now. I don’t have a laptop or a smart TV, just a desktop, phone and the PS4 but I want to use my 50 inch TV as my display. Some allow casting (I do have a desktop PC in a separate area of the house), I’ll have to do more research on everything.

I've had the Vue from just about its launch date. Definitely disappointed to hear that it's going away soon. Not sure what I'll do next, have to look around at the options.

Well that sucks. The reason why I kept going back to them during basketball season was the fact they included NBA TV. Looked at Hulu this year but they didn't appear to include it so Vue it was. Damn.

What's the best way to watch NBA on the console now? Or should I just ditch the console and watch on laptop or tablet?

I’d check out Fubo and look into a chrome cast, Roku, or a fire stick.

This is my big annoyance. They gated off their console for their own service, and now are shutting it down with no alternative for those who like to stream through the console.

I imagine some of these others will make their way to the PS4 now that the market is open, but it would be nice to know when/if.

Yeah. The only time we subscribe to "TV" is for basketball season. All our shows we watch via Hulu/Prime/Netflix. But we watch it all through the PS4.

I'll have to look into YTTV and see. Getting NBA TV included with the regional sports was a deal-maker for the Vue to me.

Honestly, if there was a service that let me integrate my NBA LP into their app rather than having to watch it separately on the NBA app would be ****ing magic.

At the begging of the year I tried vue has my cable price was getting like higher and higher. The features of vue where nice but its picture was not that good was almost like watching sd. Also I end up just keeping cable because when it comes to the price of like getting rid of cable and going with like vue/youtube tv etc with how much internet cost by its self added to that you are not really saving any thing compared to getting what cable and internet packs cost by them selfs. I also got phone threw comcast now. For phone/internet/cable threw comcast I am paying about 150 a month. Internet by its self is like 93. YouTube tv is like 50 so already 143 there and before I got the phone threw comcast I was paying like 55 for phone a month and that was with a flip phone. So that would be 198 then compared to the 150 I am paying now so it would have cost me more to cut cable. Right before I made the switch to getting a deal with comcast and getting phone with it to I was paying like 190 just for internet and cable. So like 240 with phone. I didn't want to go above like 160 for internet and cable and it add went from like 150 to that 190 and with out phone I could only get like a internet/cable package for like 170 that fit what I need. I really only stay with cable because of sports its about all I watch on tv big time sports fan and dont care for a lot of shows. If there was a way to get like nfl games, nba, nhl but with out blackouts with out cable I would just do that. The problem is with like the league pass stuff any game on espn, espn2, tnt, fox, cbs, nbc is blacked out. Black outs are the only thing keeping me. You can get all the league passes for those 3 sports for like 400 a year and that is less then I pay for cable.

NBC Sports app on PS4 not working last couple sundays is fantastic. Retransmission error. I’m not in the local market for BAL or NE for tonight’s game. I don’t get it?

Deleted app, redownloaded. Nope. Verizon... some dispute going on between them?

I'm thinking of just moving away from the Playstation as my entertainment console altogether. I''m not going to wait until January to switch everything - might as well do it now.


Sounds like Fubo is the best for live sports and includes NBA TV - similar to PS Vue. I would just need a chromecast or firestick, right? Is there one that is better than the other?

Having 800k PS Vue users just wasn't going to cut it. Wanted to know how many users they had and what other options are there. If you're interested in seeing how and what the competition is doing, emarketer lists all the subscription services revenues and the probable costs to think about.

Had all the right channels, console, phone and PC viewing

The they lost all the viacom channels then raised the price immediately afterwards

Top it off they didn't add anything else

Where I'm from you don't charge people more for less and expect growth

That was the beginning of their end and good riddance

Biggest mistake was including PLAYSTATION in the name. Everyone I talked to about it said they don't have a Playstation (implying therefor they couldn't get the service).

Should have been called Sony VueTV or something..
