This although my lack of game preorders probably stems more from my flip flopping of consoles. I have PS4 and Xbone reserved on Amazon for launch day but I still haven't decided if I want both right off the bat or if not which one I do want.

Unless there's an exclusive that is a must have I can't understand how anyone would immediately jump on the Xbone. All these policy changes from the past 4 months only suggest desperation. So something isn't right with them yet. So many moving parts also means more chances of something going wrong whether it's the operating system or hardware. Best is to view how XBone gaming community is faring months down the road. If all is well, and the buzz on the new exclusives and network are justified, it's a no brainer. I can't purchase 2 new gaming consoles at this time so spacing the acquisition is much more reasonable for me. Heck, Microsoft may continue to make more changes (seems even more possible) $$$$$.

At the moment, I know what to expect with PS4. Preordered WatchDogs. Waiting to decide between Madden or Live. 2K will be on current gen.

Watch Dogs does look good. But I want Madden and one of the 2 basketball games. Then its like what should I get between all the other games. Wont go no more than 3 maybe four games at launch. However we havent seen really anything from next gen sports titles so they still have to prove my $65 is worth it. I like Watch Dogs, liked the way AC4 looked, KillZone is looks ok. But then BF4 and COD Ghost, how does one go without one of the big FPS games ? WatchDogs and AC4 I would only play for campaigns so maybe I get them sometime after launch at a price drop ? IDK thats why I havent committed to anything. Then I actually like the Xbox One better and Ryse is the game that impressed me the most at E3 but PS4 being $100 cheaper and having MLB The Show and Naughty Dogs games in its future sounds damn good.

Only launch title I'm looking forward too is Watch Dogs, which is why I'm slowly leaning towards canceling my preorder and just waiting for better games to come out. After being lukewarm on BF3 I'm not exactly rushing out to get BF4.

If true we may finally get a date. We get Splinter Cell, Gamescom, more Next Gen details and surprises. Next week should be a good one.

Hope it releases on a Friday. I'll take that day off and play through the weekend.

A release date announcement? For real? Let's hope.

I have Watch Dogs and BF4 pre-ordered as my "launch" titles. Likely avoiding any sports titles until the '15 releases, although I did consider FIFA '14. I can't imagine being impressed by Madden, but I will give it a whirl as a rental or a demo play if they release one.

On the Sony TV service: I would love to drop Comcast as my cable provider. I hope they can provide something more affordable and consumer-friendly. An al a carte service would be ideal if it can reduce costs.

A la carte would be great even if they had "packages" for Viacom, CBS, Fox, etc.

Cable/Sat. TV infrastructure will be very interesting to watch in the next 5-10 years (probably sooner honestly).

Wouldnt mind a Friday release date as im typically off Friday's. However I will not be working release day whatever day that falls in the week.

I just don't see it being cheaper unless you only want a few channels. ESPN channels would probably be around $20. Package deals for one distributor would be cheaper than getting the channels individually, but you won't be saving money over what your provider already pays. The distributors will want you to still buy their channels that no one watches, so you will have to get a cheaper package that includes channels you don't want or split packages up where 1 channel you want is in each. True al carte will increase the price of each channel greatly.

I'm sure I'm doing FIFA 14, Watch Dogs, and BF4 with the PS4. On the fence with AC IV and NBA 2k14

Right now, I'm only planning on BF4 at launch. Watch Dogs looks good, but GTAV looks better, and they fill the same need for me.

I may try AC4, but after the abomination that was AC3, I'll hold off for a bit.
