I think those all depend on how expansive/inclusive the service is. A buffet-style system would be great, but is it realistic?

I think mgoblue put it best. There's no BC. There's a service coming out in 2014 to offer previous gen games. When thinking of it that way I'd lean much heavier on #1 being the case. At best PSN+ might give you access to a revolving slate of games in an effort to get you to purchase them a la full game trials.

There are a lot of logistics here. Sony's got to recoup their acquisition costs, and they've got to pay royalties on games they want to redistribute/resell. These are things that are probably easier to smooth over with first party titles.

Exactly. I imagine it's somewhat like BC on Xbox 360....MS offered it until it was too expensive to really be worthwhile, and people eventually stop using it. You can still BC that list of games, but that's it...IE. Sony will offer 100 (or some number of games) and then stop rolling them out if they don't make enough money.

We'll see how big the streaming stuff takes off...I wouldn't count on it being there if you're figuring out what console to buy. Not like the Fat PS3 that had the chip on there 100%.

War Thunder on PlayStation 4 will debut at Gamescom

Gaijin Entertainment has announced that War Thunder on PS4 will have its world premiere at Gamescom in Cologne this week.

Creative director at Gaijin Entertainment Kirill Yudintsev had this to say: “Sony has been a great partner in bringing War Thunder to PS4, and we are excited to show the console version for the first time this year at Gamescom.”

He continued, “We have harnessed the power of the PS4 to deliver cutting-edge graphics, cross platform battles with PC players, intelligent personalization and deeply integrated social capabilities to appeal to seasoned players and PlayStation enthusiasts alike.”

War Thunder is a World War II massively multiplayer online combat flight simulator that is currently in open beta on PC. It has had over three million users since November last year.

cboat, a reputable poster over at neogaf, has said PS4 will launch late October.

I'm really hoping it's true, but it will only get confirmed tomorrow.

If they launch late October, I'm guessing there won't be a supply shortage. May want to cancel my 2nd Pre-order in a week or two. Worst case scenario, take it back and get my money back I guess. Looking forward to it.

Yeah I wouldn't cancel until after launch. Never know what the market will be like for them shortly after launch and you can always return it if there is a surplus. That's what I'm doing anyway

I would guess $400-$600...If it's released in that range, i'll pick one up on release day...

$399.99 is just one cent short of being in that price range...that sucks...

Ite man I'll ad yah but I barely hop on PS3 at for anything now that I got a gaming rig. But when I do get on Ps3 it's usually for BF3 so no worries.
