I don't think it's really been demonstrated in a way to allow for any analysis.

In the end it all really depends on execution, and how tolerant it is of weaker wifi setups. I've seen Gaikai in action over the internet and it's really cool, very interested to see it work locally from PS4 to Vita, since that's the primary reason why I own a Vita.

Yeah, Gaikai sounds intriguing too.

It's hard for me because the performance of all this could be crap, or it could be amazing. I don't trust in Sony at all (I hear bad things about PS3/PSP connections), so just have to wait until we get real analysis.

I'd totally get a Vita and Vita TV if it let me play PS4 games on multiple tv's and locations of house. That would be amazing. Not even mentioning a Gaikai streaming type thing.

But if these features are "meh" then it sucks. If it's too laggy then it's worthless around the house IMO. If remote on Vita is slow, hard to control, etc then it sucks.

More and more makes me want to wait until both systems release now and maybe make a holiday purchase.

To the tech type guys, will the Vita remote play and the Vita TV PS4 remote play (on a different tv) really perform that well?

This is a big feature for me, but I'm skeptical on lag and all this, even on local wifi....

Have there been any of the tech blogs or whatever (the ones talking about PS4 vs Xbox One coding easier) that talk about this issue?

If this feature is really good, it would probably tip the scales for me. I could get a Vita and Vita TV and be able to play PS4 all around my house on multiple tvs.

While there is still a lot to be seen as far as away-from-home performance, but I definitely believe it can run that seamlessly (at least on the same WiFi network) - based off of how well the LittleBigPlanet cross-controller remote play works. There is virtually no lag in controls or second screen functionality. It really is a great feature.

SotC/ICO also had an update to the PS3 game, that allows you to play it via remote play. That worked pretty good too, although I didn't get into it extensively.

Good to know, thanks! I'll still probably wait until after launch, but I love all the info. Tough trying to figure out what fits into my lifestyle (baby on the way, etc)

Yeah, I could see myself getting both if I go all in on PS4. Vita would just be great for the 2nd screen stuff, along with some remote play. Vita TV I would use in a bedroom or whatnot to use PS4 in other rooms (rather than move system around).

I think you have to decide if you're going all in with Sony or not. It's not cheap, but if it works as advertised then it's pretty cool.

For the price of X-1 you can get a PS4 and a Vita console (Vita TV) with PS-4 remote play.

Seems like a pretty good deal to me.

Okay. I'm confused.

What is the difference with the Vita remote play and Vita TV?

If I can use my vita anywhere and play my ps4 using the handheld device, why would I need vita tv?

Oh so for those that have their PS4 in the living area for movies, they can use vita tv to play their games in the den or vice versa?
