so if you do work retail you should certainly understand. Complaining constantly to CS Reps making them hate their job even when you know you are wrong is awful. I am glad I don't feel the need to abuse the "make the customer happy" mantra. Because the general consumer base is greedy and nasty. Not only are you making the reps jobs worse, you are potentially taking money away from them in terms of bonuses and even cutting back hours or even jobs when Amazon is forced to give out money for so called "damage recovery" aka customers abusing a system.

Yes, the rep you talked to got confused about the layout of the page and misconfirmed something. But the only reason the situation even came up is because you noticed the confusion of the page and went fishing for something free.

End of my rant, I just think it's lame.

Having grown up near Philly I think it's lame you like all Philly sports teams except for the Eagles, and then have the audacity to root for the Packers.

Just like selling consoles for double is greedy. We could go on about those things. Lol

And not sure why you think it makes their job harder. I was as nice as anyone could be in asking a question. 5 minute phone call and they sent the email. I'm done on the subject as everyone else has done the same thing so silly to argue over the internet about it. If you think it's shocking people do this, I am surprised.

I just got my e-mail this morning about the extra controller. My order # is on the e-mail so you bet I'll get my extra controller. Those of you complaining this is lame are just wrong. False advertising, wrong displayment on website, bait and switch are all against the law. Amazon will learn from their mistake. They are a multi-million dollar business, they'll survive!

Hypothetical: what if Amazon weren't a big company and this was a small store?

I don't care either way. I just think saying Amazon is rich is a funny way to, you know, justify actions everyone is claiming need no justification.

But I really don't care about it all. Mostly intrigued by the human dilemma that's clearly alive despite attempts to pretend it isn't there.

It's not false advertising. It clearly states with a banner at the top of each bundle which one was purchased.

It shows two controllers on my web page when I click on my order so it actually is false advertising. Yes we realize it's likely an error when you move around the site and think about it but it's there and their fault they screwed it up, that means they erred and need to make it right.

Mine also shows the 2 controllers but I'm not expecting a second one considering they screwed up. I'm off to gamestop to buy one today can't wait to use this on my PC.

If we wanna get technical on what it is well then honestly what you guys are doing is "scamming". Its not false advertising. Your order states you get one controller and you already know this but your intentionally Taking advantage of a error to get a free one your not supposed to get. Its Pre meditated, and its basically a tutorial in this thread so its borderline organized crime. I work in the retail industry. We have a customer satisfaction guarantee policy or your money back. All the time scammers buy stuff then come back with a false complaint to receive a refund and they get to keep what they bought. BUT I'm all for the little guy getting one up on big brother. I don't judge anyone and its Amazon's fault in the end for not catching the error.

EDIT: just wanna get back to talking PS4, one thing I think could make the PS4 the sports gaming console of choice is the live stream feature. Being able to watch games in your online leagues will be huge.

Agreed. That is one reason I blogged about it as that is my most anticipated feature on the PS4 now. Games like Madden and NBA Live14 that I am not prepared to throw down $60 can now be watched by others playing it on your friends list to see exactly what you are getting before you buy. Simply awesome.

All of you who call it SCAMMING, Make sure if you do in fact end up with an extra controller. Send it back please. Lol

I clearly stated when I clicked and ordered that it showed me 2 controllers $399. It clearly said Dualshock Bundle. How is this SCAMMING? I call to confirm what I purchased, Amazon is made aware BY ME that my order says one thing but shows another. They do a little research and confirm and tell me even though it says one thing and shows another but I'm SCAMMING??

I'm wrong for asking for proof of my conversation/e-mail because I've alerted them to my concerns?? Again I made them aware. That's not how SCAMMING normally works

So tell me what are we supposed to do? Force Amazon to not send us a 2nd controller??

Sent them a email and they said the same thing. I know I ordered a "Launch Edition" and now they said it's a DS4 Launch Edition. Crazy.

This reminds me of that trade-in glitch a Best Buy a few years ago. I didn't do that either.

I think some are assuming it's taking advantage. It's not taking advantage if you make Amazon aware and they still send it.
