Damn, yall really buying the DS4 3 weeks before PS4 comes out? I mean I know it's exciting but I rather buy it and use it for PS4 brand new than to waste it on PS3 to get that fresh next gen experience.

I bought one to find out if I was really going the PS4 route. The controller was the last selling point. If it felt like the DS3 then I would've passed on the ps4 and got X1.

Now it's just setting in its box until 11/15.

Checked the experience playstation site to see if there were any demo kiosks in the Seattle area but nothing was listed... However I went to the Sony store in U village today and they had a kiosk with the e3 build of Knack!

The controller felt like it was melting in my hands and the clicky-ness of the triggers felt really good, Knack was OK but its obviously an old build and the new screens and info that came out recently looks pretty cool.

What does everyone expect availability for things like controllers etc... to be like at launch? Should I feel confident about being able to get a 2nd controller when I pick up my pre-ordered system at Target or should I try to grab one via Amazon?

They are temporarily sold out on Amazon. Probably due to them beginning to ship them out

Not sure...But IIRC, accessories such as controllers are normally hard to find around console launches. If you are going to get a second controller anyway, you might as well get one sooner rather than later at places like amazon or Gamestop.

Besides being excited to get a taste of next gen in my house, the worry about not being able to get an extra controller at launch, made me pick up a DS4 from my local gamestop yesterday.

Actually, I technically bought my DS4 a few months ago, along with my PS4... and camera and games. They were all pre-ordered paid off. The DS4 just happened to come in store early, so I took it home. :-)

Nope. Been looking for it and I can't find it anywhere. I guess you really don't need one since we can charge the controllers while the PS4 is off.

I'm still debating on whether or not I want to get a camera. I think I'll wait on reports from you guys before I buy.
