Looks like I'll be creating a dummy FB for gaming only.

I wonder if you can set it to upload to a folder that's hidden from other people?

My Android phone does that with Google+. Every picture or video I take gets backed up on there in a folder that only I can see. Then you just go manage it from there...

Not sure I want to really share that many video game posts on my FB. 95% of my FB friends aren't gamers. I could see wanting to upload a video to post a link to on here though....that's where Youtube or something would be nice.

There's a rather obvious difference between the two consoles in BF4 but the number of people I've seen already online saying the Xbox One version looks better leads me to suspect that Microsoft knows what they're doing with their consoles running messed up gamuts and hilariously over-sharpening things; they're just playing to their own very special audience.

Also: apparently the xbox one subreddit had a campaign to get as many people to GAF to talk about how much they preferred the Xbox One's crushed blacks and higher contrast, which one of their mods made a list of, because they all went around the same time just to sh!tpost.

The sharpness, gamma and contrast are cranked way the f up on the Xbox version (there's black crush and aliasing everywhere) to give the superficial impression the screenshot "looks better" in the same way Best Buy screws with all the sliders on their TVs to make the image "pop" for customers. I dunno if it's just the way it was captured or what, but from first glance, it looks like the Xbox One suffers from gamma problems, much like the 360 did.

Really obvious lack of AO on the Xbox version on this last photo (you can read more about AO here). Check the guy's foot, and around the brick in both.

In any case:
One version of the game is 720p with zero AA and a total lack of AO while the other is 900p with HBAO and a much more stable framerate. Running at a lower resolution and with less shader effects could arguably be considered worse than what people expected.

edit: haven't seen the non DF footage yet, but apparently they had issues with the settings of their capture card.

People's stupidity just amazes me sometimes. The differences are quite obvious. Makes me really happy with my console choice.

I'm not one to know all of the HD lingo, but the picture of the tower from Battlefield 4 says it all to me. How can someone think that looks better than the PS4?!

I have always been a 2-system guy, and after E3 I told myself that I was only going 1-system. Lately, the lack of PS4 exclusives was making me lean towards the X1, but now my mind is made up. Those X1 shots looked atrocious to me.

I'd also wait and see about Vita Remote Play outside of your house (on another network). They kinda advertised it as working well, but the FAQ recommends being within your wifi network.

Probably not a big deal, but something to consider.

What genius at Sony decided to remove the ability to play .mp3s from the ps4?

That pretty much eliminates custom music from the system. No custom music for NBA 2k (if they ever add it) or the Show. This is a huge omission in my opinion.

Probably not a big deal, but something to consider.

It makes sense that they would pump the brakes on that, though. I don't expect it to work flawlessly outside of the PS4's network since it will depend on bandwidth and speeds. I still wish that VITA top box would get released in the US.

Also, the PS4 is not DLNA-compatible...no streaming movies, videos, or music stored on a PC or media hub.

Is this something that could be added by a patch. The removal of mp3s and the lack of streaming kills custom music on the Show for next gen.

Yikes....I loved DLNA streaming too. Don't use it as much now, but why are they getting rid of all this?

Also liked the custom music during sports games when I got tired of announcers.
