Still probably Japan-only, whatever they announce, but Sony's really embracing their heritage of late. I'd almost forgotten about this thing.

Also, regarding the game announcement(s) on Spike on the eve of launch, there's a good chance that it's the Demon's Souls II announcement. That would be amazing.

There was also this post on GAF by a someone that others there are saying works for Sony's games division? Pretty cryptic (and just as confusing as cboat's posts, except being in plain english) but it got me really excited for some reason. I hope some of it is true.

As usual i'm keeping my expectations in check.

New genres, revived franchises, spectacular open world masterpieces, scifi epic ship to ship battles, pirates, ninjas, lootwhoring, chickens in radiation suits, point and clicks, music to set your heart aflame, BASE jumping in Nepal, capturing all your flags, angels and demons losing their minds, and a boy, his friends, memories and tears?

One things for sure, there is nothing like the start of a new gen.

Edit: Pretty crazy of them to be doing a big pre-launch event with reveals like this. It'll be pretty fun. Consider me hyped.

Question for a lot of you guys getting so many games at launch-

Don't you think there are going to be some better deals available only weeks away on Black Friday? Why not hold off a bit?

I mean between these games more than likely needed to be patched either Day 1 or soon thereafter and with there being so many videos that are going to be out there, is there not any incentive to hold off?

Because I am an impatient bastard who wants everything right now - but only when it comes to video games(which is odd) At least I am honest about it - stupid or not.

EDIT: We also have our second baby boy due on December 30th - so I have to get as much gaming in as I can - every second is precious!

I remember when the Vita came out and I bought a few games, then like a week later there were some real good deals. So I'm not loading up on games without a deal especially since I'm the type that plays more than 2 games at a time.

Just got back from Gamestop. I guess I can sit at the cool kids table now.



The guys behind the counter looked like they were about to bust a nut when I said that I wanted to pick up Killzone. They then told me the story about how excited they got when they opened up the boxes and saw it for the first time. One of the guys looked to be in about his early 30's like I am, and I thought it was kinda cool that people my age and much older can still get amped up about a new system and games coming out. November got here pretty fast, we're right around the corner now.

Gopher is legit on GAF I remember him being mentioned during the XB1 CoD Ghosts 720p ordeal.

Exactly like that - only defaults controls printed underneath the disc holder inside the box

Haven't opened it. The only thing I opened was the DS4 to get a feel for it.

no your not stupid....your a REAL GAMER!!! i remember when 360 first came out, it was sold out and my mistake was I did not pre-order it. Then I visited an electronic shop (nope not BB, GS or EB) to look for cool speakers for the media room in our new home and found out that they still have 10 360 unsold! I bought it right away and called up my 4 buddies to check if they want it and i reserved it for them. At their lunch break, all went to that shop to get their 360's.

Now I will not make the same mistake....i preordered PS4, extra controller and NBA 2k14.

I'll wait till BF or CM to check out if there are any good deals with games.


By the way, do you guys planning to buy a charging station for your PS4? Sony is around 50 while others are less than 30...which should i get?
