Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Those early release dates for the games makes me happy that I won't have to wade through Target on launch day.
It would be even better if Amazon matched that promotion.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Aaron, just sent my 80GB PS3 to Amazon too. I had upgraded the Hard Drive to a spare 160gb I had laying around. They were testing the console, and because it had a larger hard drive, they docked the price $25
Whatever, still $81, but I thought it was funny.Twitter - WTF_OS

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I've been rummaging through all of my old games, basically anything I can trade-in to Amazon to lower the cost of the PS4. Going to go ahead and send in my PS3, some of my older games they will only give me like $.25. that's not even worth it.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I switched awhile back from Gamestop to Amazon for trade-ins, until I had some real bad experiences with Amazon.
To make a long story short, Amazon (or I should say the third party they use to administer the program) consistently send games back in far worse condition then I sent them to them in or downgrade my games. I painstakingly take care of my games to the point you cannot tell that they were used and I have worked at UPS in the past and understand the finer point of packing items. The worst case was a new game I sent them (I took off the plastic, because I know they do not accept new games) and it was returned for being in too bad of condition.
Needless to say, I have moved back to Gamestop when they have the right promotion or Ebay if the market is there.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I can't believe the news about no MP3 or streaming video from a PC.
That is WAY worse than any of the crap Xbox dropped at E3. I don't care about MP3 so much but I like to stream my music after commentary becomes stale. But the no streaming videos is a deal breaker if I could pick up a Xbox One I would, but have the PS4 paid off and already bought a number of accessories.
How could something like this not be announced sooner and I must be in minority but this seems like a huge deal, do people not stream videos/movies from their PC?Comment

In fact, Amazon even UP-graded values on some dvds I sent in a while back. I was impressed. I put a few of them as "good" and they upgraded them to "excellent."PSN: jaydazzle

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I talked to a sales guy at BB the other day when picking up my iPad Air, and he said Best Buy is considering matching the Target B2G1 deal, at least on launch day. He said it more than likely won't extend further than that because Target will run out of inventory faster than BB, and then they can not honor the deal.
I'm hoping this is the case as I have two games reserved at BB at this time.PSN: sportdan30

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
That's crazy stuff. I've used Amazon trade-in marketplace for dozens of game trade-ins and even one system and never had an issue. I do make sure I pack them nicely with bubble wrap and all. Their prices are usually much better than Gamestop. Though, occasionally Gamestop runs a deal that makes trade-ins decent value (like a "50% extra on trade-ins" type deal..)

Makes me wonder if they have different vendors they use and some are better than the others.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I think I'm going to pass on Target deal. Not sure or 2 other games I want and not having much time to game they probably would collect dust.
I'll upgrade to the digital version of BF4 for $10 and get Killzone and I should be set for a while.Comment
