Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
10 PM is too late in hopes to get a PS4 if you didn't preorder! Every gamestop I called in the Chicago & surrounding areas was beginning the ringing out process at 6PM.
They told me if I'm hoping to get a system I need to be there before 6 because if they have extras they will allow people to buy them at 6 and pick them up later
Best Buy said they aren't opening early to have people pay off their system. So stupid.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
If GS will allow those who didn't pre order to pay off a console at 6 and then pick it up at midnight, that's a game changer for me.
Will only have to wait until 6 compared to 12....Patrick Mahomes > GodComment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I remember playing some generic basketball title on the Atari and for the time, it was ok.
Then the NES released and out came Double Dribble and I was blown away. Not only did you have 4 teams ( I think lol ), but you had 3 different dunk cut scenes as well.
Moving on to the Genesis and SNES saw the birth of the Lakers Vs Celtics and the start of the NBA Live and Coach K series and the first 3D NCAA basketball title and that was very well done too. Actual real time dunks and signature layups etc, depending on where you shot the ball from. Great upgrade over Double Dribble.
Playstation came roaring out of the gate and featured NBA in the Zone, and this was probably one of the most realistic basketball titles to date as far as visuals went, the net was much more realistic etc.
Dreamcast followed that and all the 2k sports titles released that year were mind blowing.
With the release of the Xbox and PS2, we started to see smaller upgrades as time went on with both the Live / 2k series
360 and PS3 launched with 2006 titles and I thought 2k looked very good for that time, it was impressive and we saw the slow death of basketball coming with the loss of College 2k8 and NCAA 2010 and NBA Live had regressed to such a point they didn't release it.
And now with 2 new systems coming, one basketball title completely floored people...even those that don't like basketball games, and one title left me scratching my head as to how their could be such a huge gap in fun / quality in the two games.
Its only an opinion, the more both games can succeed, the better off all the consumers are, but I really feel that NBA Live did just enough to be able to release a title at all, whereas 2k came out swinging and hitting on all cylinders.
I think the TLDR version would be that while 2k may have some issues, the sum is greater than its parts and its much easier to overlook some negative because the rest is so good, versus 2014 where everything is maybe "just good enough" at everything, and not great at anything, which really makes the bad parts stick out.Comment

Thanks for the impressions. Looks like my BF4 2K choices are solid. Passing on Madden will likely be pretty easy because it really looks like it's M25 with a new paint job.SOS Madden League (PS4) | League Archives
