I don't know where to post this... I'm about to buy a PS4 from someone on CraigsList and I'm scared out of my mind.

Has anyone ever got something off there and never received it? I'm super scared I'm going to pay for this PS4 and then never receive it... Like the seller is gonna take my money and I won't get the PS4.

Someone please calm me down.

Hell no man, just don't do it. Ive used craigslist for at least 25 transactions and had decent luck with it, but I have also met that person and verified that if I was buying that it worked, and If I was selling that they had cash in hand.

Im pretty cautious and even I have been duped into buying software that looked legit with factory seals and holograms and whatnot, only to go register the product security code and find out that it had already been registered and had a subsequent 15+different IP addresses it had used to get re-verified.

If you cant physically put your hand on the product and be assured that you are buying what you think you are buying, your setting yourself up to get scammed. Friend of mine bought a few items via craigslist that he had to have mailed and it turned out to be a box with a few bricks in it.

Turned ps4 on didn't have an sound. It came back after a reset tho .

Same setup as me but I haven't streamed with sound audio (mic) yet

Can you stream the in-game audio? You have to be able to, no?

The person said after I send the money, I would get a tracking number within the hour... This person purchased the PS4 thru amazon(I saw picture of the transaction) and is now looking to sell it.

DO NOT do it. Consider yourself warned. Craigslist is full of scammers. Unless you can meet in a safe location and see the goods up front its not worth the chance. At least with eBay your covered. That guy on craigslist doesn't send the PS4 and your out $400.

Can anyone sign into the PS network? Been trying to set up etc, but it juts says "please wait" and then an error message comes up. Is it down?

Problem is, using Paypal like that you have zero protection, it's like agreeing to leave the money under a park bench. The chances of this going well for you are really low, it's not impossible that the guy is a decent human being, but the risk is too high to even attempt to find out.

Well if you look at Ebay, they are still going for around $600, so they fact he wants to get rid of it for $415 should set off some alarms. Most likely he posted that price to attract multiple people looking for a bargain and will "sell" this system to multiple people because they think they are protected by Paypal, which they aren't.
