Just got a call from Sony Croatia... So after all the drama, they are not getting the PS4 on January 17th... Instead It's January 29th!!!
FFS, HOW MUCH LONGER DO I HAVE TO WAIT?? Ugh.

At least they sent an apology to us who pre-ordered (sounds ridiculous now, doesn't it?), and informed us that we'll get our first 10 games in half price which is quite amazing actually.
Games are 100$ usually, so I'll save 500$ on my first 10 games, sweet.

I got mine from Walmart. I'm going either Square Trade or PlayStation Store.

I went the square trade route. The first year you are dealing with Sony for general hardware failure, the Square trade will cover the accidental in the first year. After the Sony warranty is over the Square Trade will pickup and cover both categories of issues.

Apparently, there's a new round of FIFA hijacking going on, and NA/EU/JP PSNs have enforced password changes. Credit where it's due, at least Sony is more proactive over this issue than Microsoft ever was.

PSN hack speculation is dumb because even the big PSN 'hack' from a couple years ago wasn't as bad as everyone mentally made it out to be.

Youre basically glide a rose pedal through fields of flowers. It grows a trail with different colors popping up as you go through the flowers and some so called soothing music plays... that's pretty much it.

Ha, you did a lot better job selling it than I could. For its simplicity and peculiar gameplay it is still fun and entertaining. Plus, it is beautiful.

The same developers are releasing flOw on the PS4 on Friday.


I don't get NBA 2k's out-of-game features. MyGM looks cool thus far, but being unable to save rosters for NBA Today or having them load in correctly is a little ridiculous. I downloaded and loaded in Jeremy's rosters last night for NBA Today. I hop over to MyGM to start a franchise with the Wizards (Owner was asking for 50+ wins) and try to load them in there and the defaults stay. I tried a 3-4 different ones until one finally stuck.

As good as NBA 2k is when playing basketball the rest of the game is very, very unpolished and shallow.

Is the game NBA 2K14 or BF4? I know those are 2 that do not stream audio for whatever reason (most likely needs to be patched). In the meantime, you can turn on your mic and have your tv sound up enough to be picked up thru the mic.

I'm not sure about BF4, but 2K purposely has audio streaming blocked due to licensing issues.

We definitely need some patches. As far as 2k I can imagine working on 2 games and getting next gen up to par to do what we're used to was monumental work.

I hate the menus though I won't lie. They need to clean that up next year badly. I hope it really is easier to patch on these systems.

I agree also not being able to keep rosters is strange. I have no idea how to even load a saved roster. ..because on default its wrong anyway.

That's why I haven't really been hard on the features that are provided. MyCareer is entertaining if nothing else. It basically feels like a game within a TV show so far to me and I dig it. Unfortunately the actual gameplay is too damn good to me to be sitting through cut-scenes and transportation scenes instead of playing.

I really don't remember wanting to play a sports game so badly on a daily basis since NFL 2k5.

And I expect 2k15 to only make me more obsessed considering the foundation is pretty damn tight and stable.

I just hate that I can't skip the cut scenes. I haven't played much of it, but 2 games in and I haven't seen any playing time.

The roster situation is maddening with 2K14. I don't want to be that guy that keeps talking about it but I only play NBA Today and it's frustrating to see the rosters out of date.

What frustrates me the most is these guys read this stuff. I know they do bc they had no problem throwing up silly gifs or images whenever anyone questioned the difference between CG and NG during marketing.

But now that we are asking about rosters no one from 2K is to be found. Great work.

Let this continue and I don't care how good 2K15 is.

As long as you're connected online you can update the nba today rosters to use up to date rosters.

Now keeping them if you switch things up I have no idea how to do that.

I absolutely hate that too. But there is the option to turn cut scenes off, which I'm going to do tonight.

I want to say this simply because I feel like the hyperbole throughout the rest of the site is a bit ridiculous when describing these systems, but after 7 days with the PS4 I don't see how I could ever go back.

Honestly, I don't remember the last time wanting to wake up early on a Saturday simply to just turn on my system and try to decide what games to play. Between the PSN titles (I think I've already downloaded more "indie" games in the last week than I ever did on X360) and the launch titles its a good place to be, but the system itself gives me that same childish feeling of unbridled giddy and glee that the PS1 did every time you'd pop open the disc tray and hear that chime come across the speakers.

It really feels like I grew up and the PS1 grew up with me. I love how gaming is the obvious center and focus of it. I'm not going to discredit Microsoft for what they've done and where their vision is taking their device. The E3 debacle and DMR antics aside their machine is very cool tech wise. While the multi-media features and Kinect do not appeal to me the technology is still pretty cool, but I know I wouldn't get $100 worth out of the extra stuff. To me it appears to be an ADD wet-dream which will fascinate a lot of people. I know myself. I like division. I like organization. The PS4 is what I envisioned when I first decided to go back to Sony.

Loading up to that smooth, AD-FREE UI and seeing all my games, all the games and gaming activity that all my friends are playing is what I want when I turn on my gaming system. Being able to capture on the fly, not to mention streaming to Twitch, is just another way to connect with gamers and share our passion with one another. And its superb. I really wonder how much productivity has dropped collectively at PS4 users' workplaces because I know a lot of us are watching streams of BF4 and Madden instead of processing payroll. Maybe its just me, but I doubt it.

I never really understood why XBL is situated on a pedestal that cannot be toppled. Multiplayer ran smooth for me. Downloads were fine. I just hated seeing ads on a service that was already paid for or blocking subscription apps behind a pay-wall. PSN has performed similar to XBL to me, but without the pay-wall and the ads. Plus, we got 2 excellent games and more free games coming. As a single-player campaign oriented gamer I'll gladly give PSN $50 a year to support those free games and deals coming my way.

Suffice to say I'm happy as hell with this gaming machine and everything it has brought me so far. Considering its not even 2 weeks in I think I'm in for a very good and (hopefully) long relationship with it.

NBA 2k rosters: Don't the NBA Today rosters reset once you exit out of the game mode? Every time I start up a new game its the 2k Rosters that are loaded in.

Honestly, I can't wait until our game catalog grows. I don't want to sound displeased with what we have... but the future is bright for us.

Missing out on all the PS3 exclusives and PSN titles I'm already filling out my library with Resogun, Flower, Contrast, Trine 2, Super Mother Load, and definitely will add flOw and Escape Plan to the mix within the next two weeks or so.

I'll give 2k a slight pass on that. The guys who were posting the .gifs were marketing and social media guys not the devs. Those guys arent allowed to comment on anything patch or roster related until they get the go ahead from the dev team. The dev team reads everything her on OS but they dont really post much. They also rarely announce when patches/rosters are coming in advance.

The last thing they want is to announce that a new roster will be out in lets say 2 weeks and for some reason the roster comes out later. The backlash the marketing guys would get on Twitter would be huge.
