No, rants don't have a point, I had a point and if you were paying attention you'd have seen that my argument was validated by the manager, he apologized to me and actually changed the original policy after he checked on what I was saying..

Right, but you have to understand that big retail stores like that have so much stuff going on. New products and price points every single day. Put that on top of the next gen launch coming Friday. These guys probably wouldn't know about the deal until getting briefed on it Monday night or Tuesday morning.

I feel for the customer service people. They have to take everyones BS with a smile. After working in retail a long time I cringe every time I see someone being rude to a CS rep.

I think it will go quick. I plan on getting on right when it starts and doing it.

Just talked to my local gs and they said for me to get there at least a hour before 6 on thurs and be in line to try and get one of the handful of extra copies they have. Well if amazon cant give me my pre order back this is what I will be doing.

Im not done with amazon either. I think I might have a free flatscreen before its over with. I calles again this morning and was told the same thing as last night. A supervisor will see if he can get me a pre order back and call me. Its killing me to wait on this call from them on what they can do.

maybe I just need to be a complete a-hole, raise my voice, and snap, rather then being nice-upset about it when im on the phone with them.

what happen with your pre order?

Basically this......

So earlier today I changed the address for my ps3 launch edition on amazon. It has not been shipped yet so the site allows you to do it. Well around 8 I receive an email saying my order was canceled. Come to find out any changes to a pre order gets it automatically canceled. Now I have no way to get back my pre order without getting put on the waiting list.

I chatted and talked on the phone with them. The best they said they could do is give me a promotional certificate. Im so hot I told them they could keep it any any other thing they offered. I just want my damn pre order back.

It's Monday.

No kidding, is your reading comprehension really that bad? For the third time let me explain this to you. The gentlemen at Target were telling me they were not allowed to sell ANY ps4 game until Friday and that if I came back on Tuesday, even though that is when the ad indicated some PS4 games would, I would not be able to buy any PS4 games because of a hard street date of Friday was in effect for all PS4 games.

After speaking with me and checking with, I suspect, their home office, they came back, apologized, admitted their mistake and told me that they actually could sell me any games they had for the PS4 and then offered to sell them to me right then.

The people who are saying your actions were ridiculous aren't saying it because games can't be sold yet, the ad said Tuesday and it's still only Monday, I believe you said you did this yesterday 2 days before the ad states.

Not to mention the way you described it makes it sound like you were acting like a petulant child when the very ad you point to once again says Tuesday on it.

And you and anyone who thinks that is missing the point of it all, that they weren't abiding by, or even knew what was in, their own ad. Not to mention not understanding street dates.

As for how I acted, think what you like but the bottom line is that they admitted their mistake and changed their policy thanks to my actions. False advertising and general, woeful ignorance of store managers are both important issues that should make any consumer upset so I don't know why some of you seem to have issues with my actions.

As I said, I didn't cuss, didn't really raise my voice much either and didn't feel I was rude. I was simply telling them they were wrong...yes I did get a bit angry but it was business, I didn't personally attack anyone.

P.S. I worked for five years as a customer service rep so I know what their job is like.
