Sounds to me like they jammed an HDMI cable in there. All these issues over that... people panicked all night.

So there was this and the guy that bricked his console by pulling the plug while it was updating. Funny now after reading all the "if this is widespread sony is in trouble" comments.

Good question.

I will be getting my PS4 tomorrow afternoon between 4-6 pm. I hope that the network isn't in full melt down mode. If it is I will use the USB update.

My local future shop here in canada phoned me tonight saying if I wanted them to put the firmware on the machine before pickup for $30 extra. At first I said no but decided afterwards to have them do it save me tha headache and worry of me screwing things up. Normally I would have just did it through the system update connected to the internet but that could take awhile if the network is bombarded. Long story short is that I can sleep peacefully tonight.

I think that dude was just a troll in retrospect. I was laughing and angry at the same time watching that meltdown last night.

Don't forget that Spike TV PS4 special comes on at 11PM EST. Can't wait to see what new games they reveal.

My Best Buy had 6 in line at 6. I'm assuming they were there because they did not preorder. No idea how many extra Best Buy had.

Fully paid off and transaction completed at Gamestop. Im customer #1 in their queue. Waiting at home until 11 then Im heading back up to try and get a parking space.
