I've been reading people saying the friends list loads fine now. That's great because I had to use the app every time I wanted to message someone or invite them to party and it was a pain.

Yeah, why would they add an option to invite 16 people without eventually adding an option for a 16 man party? It's gotta be coming at some point

And my friends list loaded fine, and have not yet seen the "update to cloud failed" or whatever error yet

Hey guys, I could use some wisdom here.

When I first got the PS4 and was playing Madden a lot I would record all of my online games and put them on youtube, as well as a number of screenshots as well. The video was really easy, I would just hold down the share button and anytime the share menu popped up it automatically saved the video to the hard drive. I just did this every 10-15 minutes and always had footage being recorded and saved.

I must have missed something in one of these updates (I have never even opened share factory so I assume it might have been changed around when that came out and I just wasn't paying attention). I just played my first fight in UFC demo and was going to upload it, it had some interesting moments, but when I open the share menu nothing was there for video. This happened to me in Watch Dogs as well but I just thought it was a glitch. Does the PS4 no longer record the last 15 minutes automatically? Sorry for the noob queston and thanks for your help.

When you held down the share button, there should've been a prompt to save your clip [SQUARE] that then saves your last fifteen minutes. Basically it's always recording, but will only save that footage if you tell it to.

The PS4 Share function is ****ed right now. If you don't wAnt to miss out on any of your clips, the only way to guarantee that is to stream to twitch and archive your streams

Was there an update or something that "broke" it?

Again, I didn't much attention to the system for about a month and I feel this change must have happened during that month and I just didn't notice it until now.

Also, to refresh my memory.

If I double click the button to start a video right then and there, to stop that recording (like say I just want to record the first round of a fight, I double click to start the video right at the start of the round) how do I manually end the recording, do I double press again or do I pull up the share menu to stop the recording.

I'm not sure when it happened, but yeah something changed.

And the double press works fine too, actually. You can change the length of the clips from 1 min to 3, 5, 10, and 15 I believe. It'll tell you when it's done recording. But the problem is--if you do a double tap before the first one saves, you lose the first one completely. And if you're too focused on what you're playing, you might miss the "video saved" prompt in the upper right corner. That's why I suggested twitch, it's much less frustrating when trying to save videos

I don't think I have every seen that prompt either. I just hit record and when it says clip has stopped I record again... So there is a better?

You can also double-tap to start, then tap once and press the square button to stop/save a clip, I find that a bit easier to not screw up accidentally. If I double tap the second time it doesn't save it.

I kind of regret not picking up an Elgato earlier this year when Best Buy had it for < $100.

I'm not a baseball guy but if the shows online was on point is be all over that game. Unfortunately it's not....

And yes my friends list loads much better now as well.

That's when I got it.

Haven't used it much but just in my testing and stuff with the ps4 it's great

I see what you mean about Twitch being the way to go. I just uploaded a video to my PS4 Facebook page of my third fight in the EA demo, and apparently it's not showing up. Maybe I need to go back and tweak some settings or something.

I will go Twitch from now on.
