Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
The fix is basically getting new higher capacity cheap Chinese capacitors from Radio Shack for around $6, solder the new ones in place of the old, and it may fix the problem. I did this for an Onkyo I had in the past that had a loss of on screen menu and took 1 minute to connect to my PS3 and it fixed it. However, like any repair, it could cause other issues if not properly done, so take caution.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
From the rumor mill from insider Tidux twitter feed: @Tidux: #PS4 will soon have the same features already available on the #PS3. plus some new stuff.
Later mentioned time frame on this will be around or near Gamescom which is from Aug 13-17.
Also this story that may back some of that up: http://www.pushsquare.com/news/2014/...und_the_corner

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Was able to check with a few techs and our database on this today. We have had a few customers with similar issues with PS4 you are having and other devices, but also many that have said it works fine with the PS4. More than likely you have an issue in the HDMI board and the parts that usually cause this are 5-6 cheap Chinese capacitors. They cause the handshake issues along with loss of audio and loss of the setup menu on screen.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Eventually, if this Tidux continues to say it enough times, he or she will get something right. It's embarrassing to see sites continue to run stories off what this person says, but of course these are the same ****ty sites that try and stay relevant on N4G by running stories from spotty sources and flaming the console wars.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I will give him and Sony till Gamescom, but if we do not hear anything at that point, we know this guy is not legit. Stability updates are getting old, especially when they do not fix much and starting to remind me of the cross game chat Sony tried to lead people on during the PS3 days, but never was able to deliver it.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Gamescom has always been big for Sony. It's not exactly hard to imagine a firmware announcement coming around then. At Gamescom '09, Sony announced firmware 3.0 for PS3 that added cosmetic changes to the XMB, dynamic themes, avatars, and other things.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Is there a good amount of people playing Injustice on PS4? I enjoyed it on 360, and at that price it's pretty tempting to pick it back up.Comment
