With the holiday sales coming up soon(Black Friday, Christmas, etc.) I'm eyeing a cheap PS4. With the console being out for a while, still worth a buy? I've read rumblings of maybe a PS5 soon.

I see no reason the PS4 Pro (and even 1TB PS4 Slim) won't be a viable console for years to come. I thought about the same things (PS5 possibility) before getting a PS4 Pro a month or so ago, but in the end, it's going to be a great system for awhile. I imagine there will be A LOT of PS4 systems sold around Black Friday.

I have zero complaints about my PS4 Slim. With the 2 TB hard drive I put in it, I’ll be good until the PS5 comes out.

For you digital buyers, PSN has a buy 2get a 20% off thing going on. The eligible list has some already released and some coming out. Probably getting GT Sport as one of them.

I’ve gone digital only and can’t imagine going back to discs.

I fought digital only pretty hard for a long time.

Now I love it because I love being able to switch between games without getting off my fat ***.

I just got a PS4 Pro and the optical port is loose, none of my optical cables will snap in. I get sound through them but I’m worried about the loose connection. Am I going to have to return this system and get a new one or is that just the way it is?

Mine's got a positive connection; might be a less-than-good optical port so if you just got the machine I'd try to swap it.

Well as I was just about to start erasing everything I decided to fiddle with it a bit more and now I’ve got a solid connection. I guess I wasn’t putting it in so the tabs and slots lined up properly and I was handling everything like it was a delicate dandelion what would fall apart if handled too much.

If you have a service plan or just bought it I would..... I always get my systems through Walmart..... Their service plan was 35 for 3 years.... I've used their plans before.... They basically just tell you to go grab a new one.....if you do return it don't forget to back everything to the cloud and deregister the system.... If you don't deregister the system you'll have to jump through a bunch of hoops to make your new ps4 pro your new primary

Not surprised that Sony is touting "new games" for the Paris Game Show at the end of the the month. They're going to need lots of unexpected news and surprising reveals to make noise and slow down the hype for the Xbox X's anticipated arrival. We shall see.

I bought 3 games included in that deal and didn't get a code. I went to the Support area on the forums and was told the codes will be sent out around November 21st.
