Re: Will you keep your old console?
A sad day in the Walker household as I retired my Xbox 360 today. With me leaving on Sunday to Virginia Beach for my new job I just felt it was time. With house hunting and getting the rest of the family relocated by Nov 1st there would be no time to play.
RIP Homie. Gonna pop open a cold one and pour some on the ground for my dead homie. Love you always Xbox 360The poster formerly know as "FLIGHTWHITE"Comment

Re: Will you keep your old console?
Gotta keep my 360 for NCAA football 14. Who knows what next year's college game will be like? Plus I have tons of great games I may want to revisit, like RDR. My hope is that some of the truly great current gen games will get upgraded to next gen the way some PS2 games were. Like God Of War. I'd be all over an updated RDR.
Keeping my PS3 (hooking it up to a different TV) cause my kids play the Lego games on it, among others.NCAA: Michigan Wolverines
MLB: St. Louis Cardinals
NHL: St. Louis Blues
NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers
EPL: Liverpool RedsComment

Re: Will you keep your old console?
Keeping both my 360 and PS3. Got a huge backlog of games to beat on my 360. Also probably bring my PS3 into my bedroom as a blu ray player or put it in my niece and nephew room for them to watch Netflix as my 4 year old niece knows how to navigate the PS3 to find their shows on there. It’s easier to do the right thing, than to explain why you didn’t.Comment

I'll be retiring mine in about 30 days. It was a great system and a launch one at that. So I won't be trading it etc..A sad day in the Walker household as I retired my Xbox 360 today. It will go next to my past consoles in the attic.
I will have the WiiU, PS3 and PS4.
PS3 is staying as I'm sure there will still be plenty of freebies offered via PS+
Eventually I'll have the XBOX One. Hopefully by mid January if there's a game I need to play.Joshua:

Re: Will you keep your old console?
Keeping both the 360 and the 3. Tried playing GTA3 on the PS2 the other day for giggles. Maybe 5 minutes and it was over. This current gen graphics are good enough to hold me for quite some time. I will at some point get the 4 but no hurries yet.Not that it's the same jump is graphics but ....I still have all my old systems and have zero desire to play the older games.
For me I like having all my systems but simply don't like playing games after a certain timeframe.
We have a PS2 hooked up in our main room used for daycare and I tried playing it one evening. Turned it off pretty quick.
Now for games on 360/PS3 yeah I will continue playing for quite some time I believe as I can still stomach those obviously.
As far as trade in's you have to trade in when you have a the extra 50.00 coupon or when theres a special trae offer so you can get the best bang.
You can get decent deals if you look for them.Comment

Re: Will you keep your old console?
As time goes on and I realize how little titles there will be at or near launch that Im interested in, it wont be until Dragon Age III comes out that I buy a PS4.
At that point, the plan is to buy a second TV (my wife and I have always just had one in the eight years we've lived together), and set the PS3 and Wii up in the other room, which will double as my daughter's play area. It'll give us a second blueray player, which is becoming increasingly appealing, lol.Anyone who claims to be a fan of two teams in the same pro sport is actually a fan of none.Comment

Re: Will you keep your old console?
For those considering eBay
Spoiler
Just a heads up for those that may be considering selling their systems on Ebay, the price you get needs to be deducted to 80% of the value in order to see what you truly get.
Shipping is usually covered, but both Paypal (Which is the mandatory online payment option) and eBay skim 10% (each) off the top. I sold a bunch of things on eBay over the summer and lost quite a bit on commission fees.
If you can only sell your system for ~$100 on eBay, I'd say since you'd be essentially breaking even with a GS deal, you might as well take it into GS since you don't have to deal with shipping supplies.
Personally, I just sold my Xbox, but I'm still holding onto my PS3 and unless my money becomes tighter (Which is shouldn't given that I'm getting a promotion) I'll hold onto it. I have a very few games, and of course digital downloads (The Show, RDR and TLOU).Bulls|Bears|Cubs| Blackhawks|Huskies|Horned Frogs|

Re: Will you keep your old console?
I was going to trade in my Xbox360 but very recently as in this month! circumstances have changed in my life. I will be getting married in December, I have a new job, and I will be relocating in January. I really don't see my fiance letting me get an XboxONE now, not with a wedding and relocation to save up for.
So I may just keep my Xbox360 (actually I'm going to trade it in for a slim black one!) and sell the PS4 and XboxONE I have per-ordered on Amazon. GTA V and NBA 2K14 should satisfy me til I get settled again. Im thinking Ill get an XboxONE or PS4 on my birthday in July of next year. Just in time for College Football 15 and Madden 15 (if they end up being good games, which is not even close to a given.) Plus by that time I will have a better idea on which system is better.Comment
