Hopefully they use more memory than their Chromebook, cause those things can't play a simple .avi movie without clipping every 2 seconds. -

Probably gonna be a mecha version of the Ouya (kickstarter project.) It probably would run Android. And with mobile gaming getting more attention, I guess this is the next step for Google? I mean Android has the power to be a great, all-around OS, so why not? Google has really nothing to lose.Xbox 360 Rosters:

Ouya is relatively inexpensive (and underpowered) because it uses mobile hardware. It really depends on the market segment they would try and target. I don't think it's realistic to read the subject of this thread and think 'watch out Sony/MS' without a metric ton of more rumors and data about quality game development, hardware partnerships outside of the Tegra line of graphics, and talk of more than just branding a production partner's efforts a la Chromebooks.
I love Google (why are you getting rid of igoogle, whyyyyyyyy?) and can't wait for a more accessible Google Glass, but have a hard time seeing the feasibility other than embracing some of the other efforts and putting out their own hobbyist-level console.Comment

I'm not sold on the Android based gaming consoles. I bet they'll prove me wrong, but Ouya does nothing for me. If I'm playing my phone/tablet games I'm playing on my phone/tablet...If I'm playing on a big tv I'd much rather play a better game.Ouya is relatively inexpensive (and underpowered) because it uses mobile hardware. I don't see this succeeding. Between Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft you don't have much room to compete. Yes it's Google but unless its something besides what I'm thinking then I don't think it will work out.MLB: Texas Rangers
