Exactly! It's much easier to understand if you own both current gen consoles. Like you said exclusives look better on ps3 but cross platform games look better on 360.

But I don't this will be the case since ps4 will be easier to code for. If anything cross platform on the ps4 will look exactly like the Xbone this time around.

Yeah you can't really compare what happened this gen to what will happen in the next, since the memory architecture of the PS4 was so different. I would expect third party games to look and perform exactly the same on both platforms, with exclusives really pushing both consoles.

If you want proof, compare NFS Rivals (a pretty game, no doubt) to DriveClub and Forza (gorgeous games).

Reading through all these pages, I guess the original message from the OP is being lost. The question that should be asked is it "fair or reasonable" to hold back a version of a game because of a partnership? Such as in the case with EA. The PS4 version of Battlefield 4 can be offered at a higher resolution by DICE but won't. Is this right or wrong? Should the customer have the right to complain?

This wouldn't surprise me AT ALL if it's true, but it makes me want to support Sony's exclusives even more. Imagine how incredible a PS4 game will look when it's designed Only for the PS4... games like the Show, Killzone, Infamous, the Last of Us 2 or Uncharted.. It's going to be a wonderful gaming generation guys.
