If themes are in, making your own may be in as well, or at least setting your own wallpaper. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

It'd have to be, right? Considering we can snap screen shots and the photo modes in the most recent exclusives.

Depends, major reason why not would be that Sony couldn't monetize that and it would eat into monetization of paid themes. It can also be that the guys in charge of saying "hey, let's do this feature" didn't even think of that because it's not something they tend to do. So, we'll just have to wait and see. I would hope it is in alongside themes, but I'm not going to be surprised if it is not.

Given other recent decisions (like opting out of EA Access, PS Now pricing) I'd lean heavily toward them only having paid/promotional themes for the monetization, absolutely.

They're the market leader now, time to enjoy it.
