My refurb is doing the same thing now. Wont eject disc at all again. Ive had it since October. It ejects blu rays just fine which leads me to believe the game disc are too thick. I'll probably just start buying games digital so I can at least use the blu ray for movies as Im past the 30 day window now.

I would take the machine back to the store and wait until they got a new one. No way I would want to sweat a unit that broke twice out of the box. Sounds like a lemon to me. Hope you get your problem resolved. I know things aren't the way they were back in the day but this is one more reason to frequent one store and get friendly with those employees. Any problems? No problem.

Re: My Sony Playstation 4 Experience

that sucks as I have recently.... upgraded to a PS4.... in july....I also had to wait awhile because all the stores were all sold out....so once I saw they finally had one in I jumped on it and grabbed it up.

I got mine from walmart....I was looking everywhere even kmart and other stores around me couldn't keep them in stock once they came in they was gone that day.

so every day I see ppl posting things going wrong with there like controllers breaking.... units freezing.... disc errors etc... and knock on wood that nothing like that happens to mine.

its weird to get 2 lemons in back to back and sucks that it happened so hopefully if u get a 3rd unit it will work right.

Haha it was kind of funny how it happened. Me and my buddy were in Sears looking in the tools section and he actually hit on a football game he put money on and was up a grand so we're like "let's grab a ps4 and some games" lmaoo.

Got my PS3 from Sears, The had one of the last Motorstorm bundles I could find in town and bought it when I did because they'd discontinued backward compatibility.

I'm sorry, but if it breaks within a week they should have replaced it with a new one instead of fixing it. And they definitely should have given a new one after the second incident!

I'm wondering mestevo has been a rep at Sony and working at Sears he sure is defending them very hard one of them being one of the richest company's in the world.
I'm sorry but it sounds like from mestevo that it must be your fault they sold you a defective product and you couldn't fix there problem for them , when you sent it back you should have gotten a replacement back ,brand new with a new game that was in the machine , they should have kept the defective one and sent an email or call with in 48 hours for your troubles ' sounds like to me that they are most likely having this problem with many machines and don't want it to get out and don't have the replacement machines to take care of the problem. Hope it does workout for you.

Lol at playing the "I have a Life" card

Most of us here have pretty full lives.
And your condescending comments is pretty juvenile.

Lol... Kinda what I thought of the other dudes comments.

A product is defective 6 days from purchase it should be automatic to replace it.
If their product is **** or qc is garbage or whatever the reason it should be a no brainer to replace it for the customer.
It amazes me what passes for customer service nowadays...
Btw not directing that last part at you per se.
To defend the indefensible seems rather condescending Imo.

                          They did replace it.

Companies have things like return policies and warranty repair policies for a reason, and making exceptions to those policies, often times, isn't in anyone's purview. Making demands outside of the scope of what they can do, isn't going to get you anywhere, and not accepting what they can do makes you the unreasonable one and will get you labeled as such. Why would a supervisor call you back if there is no way for them to help you? To have a frustrating conversation?

Going to the Sony store was just foolish, there's nothing they can do, it's tantamount to ranting to a manager of a Disney store because you couldn't log into espn.com

                            Huh? You make no sense.
First off they didn't replace it, they supposedly fixed it.
Secondly I didn't say anything about what their policy is, I was simply stating what I felt should be done, an opinion. If that makes me unreasonable... Well alrighty then.. Lol.
Label me however you feel you must, seems to be the thing to do nowadays anyway, I couldn't care less.
My point was meant to be fairly simple... If I sold a product that was faulty six days after it was purchased, it would be replaced, end of story.

Let me repeat, the broken console was replaced.

The rest of that post was directed towards the OP, the only thing directed at you was the fact the console was replaced.
