I remember when I was a kid and thought DDoSing was hacking. I thought I was a king. Then I actually learned to code and realized just how ridiculous it is. It takes no skills whatsoever, it's like being the janitor at a multi-billion dollar corporation and telling people that you work for them while leaving your title out, except, janitors have skills.

That's not the point.
If it's this easy for a group of kids to take down both services most of the day, proves having an always online device would've been a terrible decision.Comment

This sucks. Can't play NBA2k15, COD, or UFC. Playing Mordor now - is it possible trophies won't save because of the network being down?

All a moot discussion anyways. We already have the online-focused consoles everyone took to the streets and set themselves on fire in protest of with the original X1 announcement. Just look at the posts in this thread.Comment

Trophies always save locally and then sync when convenient to do so. I've gotten months of trophies appear at one time in my account and the activity feed.Comment

Re: Microsoft and Sony online service under attack by hackers!
You'd have to be a pathetic excuse of a human being to do stuff like this. I don't care if it's kids that are behind it someone needs to ram their teeth down their throats. I can live without gaming but I just wanted to enjoy my couple day's off work with some gaming with friends.Last edited by Maccy46; 12-26-2014, 12:50 AM.Comment

That's also not the point. The point is why do they make us pay for online service when its so easy to be taken down and hacked by teenage kids with web booters. Thats what I want to know.Comment

Re: Microsoft and Sony online service under attack by hackers!
I really need for MS to address this **** man. Its not right that these paid for services can be taken down. They do not inform their customer base as to why nor do they provide us with a statement of what they are doing to prevent this and legal action they are taking against these goons.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment
