ps4 psn pre loading - pre orders

Sorry if its been covered, I was just wondering if anyone has done this via PSN, and if they had any issues?


Im referring to purchasing a game early on psn and having it download days before release claiming you can play the game at 12:01 am on release day.
Any issues? and is it 12:01 EST?

Haven't had issues with it. The time it unlocks varies. It is usually Midnight EST, but you can check the psn store description to be sure.

Make sure the game actually finished downloading completely by going to the game tile icon, pressing options, and information. If it is completed, it will say completed. If not, it'll say how many GB you have downloaded. I've only experienced Far Cry 4 being the only game that allows you to play, but it was only the introduction. Once you complete the tutorial, you had to wait for the entire game to finish.

I've seen many people trash the preloading process because they think the entire game downloaded, when it really hasn't. Do not go by the download section of notifications as that only shows when you can start up the game. Some games allow you to play as it downloads, but many do not.

Pre loading is a welcomed addition to this generation. Without it, I do not think I would have purchased many digital games already.

I've only Pre-loaded Madden, and had no issues with it. It was finished downloading by midnight of release day. At 12:00am, it unlocked and I was playing a full game before I knew it!

I'm excited to do this with MLB 15

This is the only way I roll. Gone are the days of hunting early release unless I stumble across it. With my connects pretty much dried up I check Craigslist or Ebay and if I don't score its DIGITAL/Pre-loading for me.
