Yup, I was a little concerned. I actually purchased it at a local Micro Center. I picked one that had an October 2015 date and asked if their tech support area would be willing to verify the monitor before I took it home. It looked good there so I took it home.

Oh that's awesome. I don't have one near me so I got it from bh photo and video in August. I think I got a June or July build which I think which seems to be when things started to get better with them. Fortunately no issues so far.My latest project - Madden 12 http://www.operationsports.com/forum...post2043231648Comment

Re: Gaming Monitor discussion
So I did a little research and found out my existing HP computer monitor has a 9 ms refresh. I moved my PS4 from my 50" Samsung around a week ago and cannot believe the difference. Black Ops 3 is like a different game. It has taken all the frustration away. I'm with you guys, never going back to gaming on my TV unless its fallout or some other single player game. Now all I need to do is finish tiling my master shower (agreement with the wife), then I can upgrade my monitor to a 27" Benq or comparable.PSN: OldStyle24Comment

I started with 24" Dell monitor but wanted a little more size. Snagged this one here and it's been amazing

Re: Gaming Monitor discussion
I don't think my first one was this cheap, but once I saw this it was a no brainer.
Gonna ebay my old Asus monitor now because it still works great and its a 1ms monitor.
This one you can use its back as the stand if you don't want to connect the stand that comes with it, kinda like how the surface tablet has a built in stand on it.Comment

Re: Gaming Monitor discussion
You guys are talking about response time, and that got me thinking. I have a pc monitor packed away with 4ms response time, and I'm playing on this full time now for a year: Benq W1070
It has a roughly 20ms response time, and as I read your posts, I had a memory of playing on the monitor and it was a tad snappier. Miss the faster response time, but still have tons of fun, and not ready to give up the screen size and 3D.TB Lightning | Liverpool | Panathinaikos | Toronto FC

Re: Gaming Monitor discussion
I was going to buy that monitor today but could not find confirmed input lag numbers and not sure how the pq stacks up
I went with the Asus MX27 incher which has just 9ms of input lag while my new tv is being returned due to a defect and need to wait to get a new one
I love gaming on this monitor due to it being an IPS panel with just 9ms of input lag for 230
2 hdmi inputs and internal speakers as wellComment

Re: Gaming Monitor discussion
Not sure if anyone has an answer for this but thought I would give it a shot.
What does everyone use for Brightness, Contrast & Sharpness?
