    Analog Stick Problems on X1

So I'm casually playing a game of All-Star Team-Up in 2K and I noticed that on defense the game was forcing me to play defense with my hands up the entire time and whenever I got the ball, they would force me to shoot it (shot stick). I now understand that the problem is that my right analog stick is drifting to the left.

Without taking apart the controller, the methods I have tried did not work for me. What I've noticed is that my right analog stick can only move up and down, never left or right due to it only moving left.

Please help me with a solution. I do not want to take apart my controller and I'm hesitant on buying a new controller as I can't remember if I have a warranty (the Xbox was a bday present). I just want my analog stick working the correct way again.

I had the problem with my left stick drifting up. I had it replaced under warranty. You can assign the console id to your microsoft account and use the default warranty to replace if it is still under 1 year i think. Otherwise i dont think there would be a fix without taking it apart.

My day 1 controller has recently gone to crap. It started with the Start button not working unless i forced it down as far as it can go, and now the Start, Back, RT, LS, and X buttons all barely work.

My original Xbox One controller started drifting as well....

I ended up trading it in with the system when I upgraded last fall (they had great deals and mine weren't reading discs well lol)....

No help otherwise though, you can either take it apart or send it in I think...
