Actually, I have been doing the opposite. I beat Shadow of the Beast, Assassin's Creed Chronicles India and Assassin's Creed Chronicles Russia over the weekend. I also eliminated three games off my lists and simply have taken them as a "loss". These three games are Shovel Knight (which I actually beat a year ago), Axiom Verge (was playing yesterday and im just not into the 8 bit retro games anymore) and Mercenary Kings. I'm done with 8 bit retro games. Shovel Knight gave me my fix.

Currently playing Nex Machina which is freaking insane. After Nex, I have only six games left in my backlog. Forza Horizon 2 and 3, Ori, Ratchet & Clank (which is my planned game for September after Knack 2), I Am Setsuna (still waiting for it to hit $20 or less) and Stories: The Path of Destinies (which im going to use a guide for as I don't want to do each path more than once).

Hoping to have my backlog cleared by 2018 while at the same time, playing and completing the games for 2017. Thankfully, my next game isn't until August 15th with Matterfall. Of course, none of this includes the expansions for Mafia III, The Division, GRW and both Forza Horizon games.

Yep.....little by little. LOL.

Nex Machina looks awesome, may buy this for the wife and I to play.

It is. There's pretty much no story or anything but the visuals, all audio and gameplay are all easily a 9/10 in each category. Housemarque is by far and away the best developer when it comes to twin stick shooters simply because they "hit" on everything to perfection.

Love Housemarque. And can't wait for Matterfall.

I also "eliminated" Salt and Sanctuary and the Stories game. I'm simply not into them to where I can sit down and play them.

Won't be the first generation that I have purchased digital games and never finished them. The only positive is that compared to last generation, I have actually improved to where this generation is only five games as "losses" where as last generation was closer to triple.

Hopefully, next generation, I'll be at zero. LOL.

No, it's not..I'm 47, when I was growing up games were big blocks moving around on the screen. You had the story of what was happening in your head. Sure I love games with some great story but every single game out there doesn't have to have such exposition. Frankly, it gets quite old. Sometimes a game where you just fill in the blanks yourself is quite refreshing.

Yes, complete apples and oranges. A game based on a historical event claiming historical accuracy shouldn't rewrite world history for 2017 political correctness. In arcade shooter games from the future there is no story to tell and if you tell one you cannot be wrong because it's fiction.

Again, because one portrays something that never happened and one is modelling an event that actually did. And not only that but the developers are claiming historical accuracy to boot.

But that's their story. Maybe they explain it in their alternate universe for all you know. To be up in arms because you can't be a Nazi online is just ridiculous to me. You can't say you are sick of stories in games then turn around and be annoyed because a game has characters in it you don't like or deviate from history.

My man, you really gonna go down the upset consumer route with someone?

Pretty sure what EG is saying (could be wrong) is that's its CoD. Call of Duty. It's not to be used as a historical reference. If you're using Call of Duty to help you "remember history how it actually happened", that's on you, man.
