Yea, ps4, One, and PC get the Skyrim remaster.

That's news about getting it for free on Steam for previous ownership is awesome as settles which platform I'll be playing it on

Really disappointed with this. Was really hoping for a new Elder Scrolls game, not a remaster. This generation of gaming has been clustered with remasters, and I understand Skyrim was a good game, but it's been a long time, and this holiday season, especially with ME being pushed out of 2016, it would've been a huge sales for the next ES without any other big RPG's coming out. (To my knowledge).

[Not that ES is ever hurting for sales but still.]

Been underwhelming conferences across the board so far.

Edit: I would've been substantially more excited if it had been Morrowind. Imagining that with all the modern aspects of Bethesda games would just be incredible.

I definitely feel ya on the remaster thing.

Some of it has been awesome for me, like TLOU and Dishonored, I never played those last gen so it was fresh. Others, like GOW3 and Drakes Collection, I bought again and enjoyed but probably could have lived without, personally.

I'm glad Skyrim is coming out. I still have it on PS3 but I never played much of it and now I don't use my PS3. It just sits there so I'll be buying the remastered version.

Lots of casual console gamers sold their ps3/360 to get a new console, so a Skyrim remastered will sell for them regardless

I would have loved to see TESVI as well, but it's too early. I had a small bit of hope that they would have at least announced it or teased it. Maybe next year.

How many years was it between Morrowind and Skyrim? I was really hoping for the next ES game as well. I don't consider ESO to be a place-holder in the process since that wasn't even the real Bethesda people making it, so I figured ES6 was reasonable around this time

9 years between those two. 4 years between Oblivion and Morrowind. 4 between Oblivion and Skyrim. With the new consoles I would expect that gap to be bigger naturally in regards to TESVI.

5/10 for me personally but in general, probably a 7/10. Completely crushed EA's press conference.

                        - Don't care about Quake Champions and it's a PC only multi-player arena game but for those who do, im sure that it will be a solid game.

                        - The Skyrim remaster wasn't a surprise but I do see The Elder Scrolls VI either being shown next year and leased a few months later ala Fallout 4 or it will be shown in 2018.

                        - Prey looked good and I loved the music in the trailer. Will definitely keep an eye on it.

                        - Don't care about the card game or any of the Doom/Fallout 4 DLC stuff.

                        - Dishonored 2 doesn't interest me but it looks very good and Arkane Studios is solid so im expecting that the game will be at the very least, in the good 8 or so range.

Disappointed that there was no Wolfenstein 2 and The Evil Within 2 announcements but there was that little hint of Wolfenstein: The New Colossus so it's definitely in development. I truly believe that both games are in development and im guessing they were either pulled or planned for their 2018 press conference.

Machine Games and Tango Gameworks weren't even mentioned at the press conference so im expecting them 100% next year which is fine because I prefer games to be announced, shown and released within a year instead of being dragged out to where, it's like, "okay but don't really care anymore".

Quake is the orignal, godfather of multi-player arena shooters IMO (at least in my gaming lifespan) and I am glad they are going back to their roots there. I think it will be a really fun game and hopefully give people who are turned off by OWs cartoony style something different.

Dishonored 2 looks really good and I can't wait, first game is great.

Quake is going to be a hero shooter, how is that going back to it's roots?

Sticking with the multi-player arena shooter platform except adding in the hero abilities, can't blame them really just look at how well OW is doing.

If people wanted standard old school combat the Doom multiplayer would be taking over the world, but it isn't. I guess what I was really saying is I didn't expect it to be single-player focused. When I think Quake, I think multi-player

Doom's multiplayer isn't that old school arena style multiplayer, which is the problem with it. It has loadouts, you can only hold 2 weapons at a time,it's much closer to Halo or CoD than old school Doom or Quake deathmatch.
