    Re: PS VR

How much room space do you need for this? Most people I've seen playing it do so sitting down so I'm guessing not a whole lot. But since it does use Move controllers and the camera I figured there was at least the potential for needing to get up and move around.

I'm undecided, especially with NEO on the way. It needs to have some kind of library before I'd consider it at all. But I do already have a Move controller and the PS4 camera, at least.

lol now I want to try that one but I don't have a best buy close by that has the VR. Closest best buy to me is about 25 minutes away and they don't have the VR.

Everything I"ve seen is just sitting/standing, no room-scale experiences. Could change with how they've got things set up, rear sensors on the helmet help w/ occlusion w/ their single camera setup.

That is one of the positives from my time with the game. The shark had me LEGIT scared by the end. LOL. I kept telling myself that the shark wasnt real but then by the end i found myself concerned about where the shark was coming from.

Oh man... we will have to check in on you. Make sure there is no cardiac or anything.

Love hearing all the feedback in here. VR is no joke! So stoked for my day one pre-order.

I am also very excited to see how those peeps at San Diego Studios are going to implement it into The Show. They must be frothing at the possibilities.

Yeah, Sony has applied for a patent on them.

Sony has been awarded a patent for a smart contact lens that would be capable of recording video.

                  Nope, nope, and nope.

I'm not playing freaky stuff like that, let alone in VR. You tryna to kill me?

If someone plays that kinda game in VR with the Sony Golds, someone is gonna be reported dead from a massive coronary in the news one day.

And it ain't gonna be Boltman, I got a little girl on the way due in Dec to help raise!
I'd be more afraid of the eventual motion sickness than the virtual zombies.

                    Re: PS VR

Motion sickness depends as much on the game and performance of the hardware/software (maintaining proper FPS, etc) as it does the person's propensity to get motion sick.

I could feel it a little playing Eve, but I was also doing barrel rolls and flipping upside down. On more traditional games it's less of a leap and not as disorienting because you have an established horizon / setting to focus on.

Yeah, I don't sick playing Eve and Elite Dangerous. Adr1ft and Project Cars are not too bad. But games that are first person, where you are walking around like Solus Project get me sick. I've also been trying games like BioShock and Elder Scrolls in VR with VorpX and I can't play more than 5 mins.

                          Re: PS VR

PS VR looks really exciting but I wont be getting it day one for sure. Im more interested in NEO than the PS VR to be honest. The factors that are leading me to feel this way is that

                          1) The NEO (if all rumors are true) should be dropping at or shortly before PS VR and can't justify spending $400+ each for the PS VR and NEO.

                          2) Don't know if I can play games with the PS VR on my face.

                          3) None of the games at the moment interests me. Im going to wait until more content that appeals to me on the PS VR to start to think about getting the PS VR

I do hope the technology does take off as it sounds like something that can be fun with the right games.

When I played the Battlezone tank game I used the DS4 controller and it played just like any other FPShooter. So I wonder how VR would work with a future FPS like Battlefield.
