Re: NES Classic Edition
I'll probably end up getting one if anything for nostalgia purposes. And sadly, I never did ever complete Super Mario Bros.

Re: NES Classic Edition
I am definitely getting this. Just wish I could pre-order it.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I'm hoping Amazon opens up pre-order soon. I'm sure they'll be hard to find this Holiday season.

Re: NES Classic Edition
Seeing more and more reviews and impressions of that cord length may be ruining this as a must buy for me. If I can't have this sit in an entertainment center and still comfortable play on the couch, no thanks.
A 2.5' cord is ridiculous. Come on Nintendo... who the hell made that decision?Comment

Re: NES Classic Edition
That is disappointing, but it will not stop me from buying next Friday. I really want this in my collection.Seeing more and more reviews and impressions of that cord length may be ruining this as a must buy for me. Also, I would like for it to be my Son's first gaming system when he gets older.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Re: NES Classic Edition
Specifically for this? It's a proprietary connector I thought. If they went usb at least we could extend it.

Re: NES Classic Edition
I know I'm being a little stubborn, but that isn't even a viable option IMO. The beauty of this release was the value at a $50 price tag. If I'm having to add extension cords or wireless accessories, this starts pushing $70. Frankly that's just more than I'm willing to spend for something I'm mainly getting for the nostalgia.
We'll see. I suppose I could eventually be convinced to buy a $4 adapter, but I just shouldn't have to. It's ridiculous to me that a decision like this ever would have been approved in the first place. A 2.5' cord is ridiculous. Hell, I would understand it more if they WERE releasing extenders alongside the system to make more money, but they're not. Someone literally set that as the cord length and decided it made sense. That person should be canned.
(Yes, I'm being extra dramatic for effect... because seriously, it's idiotic.)Comment
