Not surprising. I'm expecting at least a 95 meta critic score or higher.

So do I just about ever Zelda game has gotten good/great reviews and it looks like this Zelda game is going to be something special even for a Zelda game. Still nice to know that reviews are some what starting to come out.

Yeah, looks like a pretty amazing game technical issues aside. In docked mode the framerate dips quite a bit (into the 20s) and it gets pretty muddy in handheld mode but maintains a better framerate.

Any extended footage of it is pretty great looking though. Will certainly be giving it a shot via other mean as soon as convenient.

So I may not get to have the switch in till wed march 8 because I am getting the switch with shipping but I am most likely not going to be home when the mail comes for several days. Friday I have work 1:30-6 and mail tends to come around 4 were I live. Sat I will be at work 9-6 then of course mail don't run on sunday and then Monday march 6 I have school from 9:30 to about 12:20 and then have to be back for study session that goes 2 to 4. Then Tuesday I work all day from like 9-6. I live in a apartment and even cheap stuff I have to be home to for. So inless I am lucky and the mail shows up Friday around 1 or earlier before I go to work or comes at around 4:30 on Monday when I get home from school I will not be home in till wed to get it. I went to best buy today and also called a like 888 number or something for bestbuy and its sounding like I am most likely not going to be able to chance to store pick up. If I could do store pick up it would be better.

that's sad I feel for ya didn't have a chance to pre order in store?

I pre order online on the night of Jan 13 after the switch was shown and by the next day all the way threw now I have not seen a single store were you could per order the system at all online ever were has said sold out. One of my friends per order in store like a week or 2 ago and I was surprised because I didn't think you could considering ever were no matter if you are talking about kmart, target, bestbuy, amazon etc said it was sold out online. When I did the per order I figured I would do shipping instead of in store because I live in a small town and the closet bestbuy and target are about 35 min from me.


But once I got my work schedule for next week on wed my schedule comes out on wed ever week and the schedule is a sunday threw sat type of schedule not Monday threw sunday. I started looking to see if I could chance to store pick up but when I try and click on my order and change it I get a call number type of message. When I called and talked to them today they said the only thing they could try to do is intercept the order or something. I am not sure how that works. I hate having to wait really just because of Zelda. Don't really have any thing else I care for on the switch in till Mario may get splatoon 2 not sure and I do have a wii u but with it being Nintendo who knows if we will even have a price cut on the system by the time Mario comes out. If this was Sony or something I would most likely wait for the likely price cut.

System aside. Breath of the Wild is arguably going to be a amazing experience of a game. Zeldas usually are and honestly I have such a deep attachment to its world unlike any other world id have to "get the hang of or get used to" being a new iP. That im set with BoTW for a while...


So for that reason alone I feel anyone with an ounce of "like" or admiration for the series will be happy.


If your one of those who have like the witcher and skyrim and feel that botw is now a copycat just know those games don't have an ounce of history attached to them the way Zelda does and that for me is special

Yeah for sure Oot, TP, ALTTP are all in my top like 10-20 favorite games of all time and WW like top 30. Oot is my favorite game of all time and I think that could ended up changing with this game.

From what I hear this game has enough content to last for quite some time. Kart 8 Deluxe will be here soon with Splatoon 2 in the summer. That's my justification. Unfortunely my son won't have much to play until Kart.

So about having to wait to get the switch and playing Zelda for a few days. I just realized that by accident I set my best buy per order to ship to my parents house. I just moved out a little over 2 months ago like December 16th or something. I have been going over on Fridays for dinner and to do laundry after work. So hopefully on Friday my switch will be at the house so I can pick it up that night. I then have to work sat 9-6. So I am hoping I get Sunday off and can get my system Friday night. If I can get it Friday night and I get Sunday off then I could get in a few hours of play time on Saturday night and then play like all day on Sunday. I say hopefully because I don't know if they will leave the system by the front door or not or if someone needs to be home and my parents will be at work during Friday. I have ordered a ps4, Wii u, and ps3 before in the mail and I think I was home when the ps4 came but I don't remember if I was home when the ps3 and wii u came.

So then that means before Mario around the holidays getting a switch you are basically getting it for just Splatoon 2 and we don't even know how its single player is going to be compared to the first one.

Yes, except for the portability factor of the switch vs. the Wii U.

and for sake of always having to defend the switch now


its at a 900p resolution rather than the blurry 720p(which the switch does in its sleep in handheld mode)


And the fact that the game has better draw distance on switch


Then the fact that the Switch version has more wildlife audio.


Wii U is a dead system

I know Mario is like the biggest Nintendo game but I have always found Mario to be very overrated. Zelda and DK are much better franchises. DK 2, DKCR and DKCTF are better then any Mario game ever made. WW, TP, SWS, ALTTP, Oot are all better then any Mario game ever made. With that said the new Mario looks amazing. When it comes to getting games like 2k this year wii u had some games like that at the start but they didn't get them after like the first year or so. So the question is will the switch continue to get games like that?
