1-2 Switch is incredible for family and parties. Been having a blast with it while Zelda is downloading.
System was super easy to set up and its dash is fast and clean. Whole thing feels right just bare bones.

I thought about getting 1-2 switch for my kid, but the guys waiting on the line at Best Buy talked me out of it and said it's just a tech demo. Now you have me thinking if I should still get it just for the family.

Amazing little piece of tech! Just got it set up with my 8yo son tonight. He's giddy and we're about to play some Snipperclips! (Zelda update downloading in the background).
Got the all gray unit as that's all Walmart had. Grabbed some Joy Con gel guards, but am not opening as I don't think they can stay on in the controller grip.

Re: Nintendo Switch Announced, Scheduled to Release March 2017
To echo what someone else said a little earlier, I have to admit that the performance hit in docked mode for Zelda kind of triggers me a little. Not anything close to a deal breaker or anything. Just something I was kind of surprised about. Does this kind of thing happen because the game was primarily developed to played in the portable mode native 720p, and they just didn't figure to optimize it for the docked mode resolution?
Edit:
Again, it isn't a big deal or anything, just thinking out loud/asking whats on my mind for the conversation of it, nothing more. Very happy with my purchase thus far"Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: Nintendo Switch Announced, Scheduled to Release March 2017
It's just because of the uptick in resolution and the processor having to do too much. It's not a particularly strong machine, so big open world games where lots of calculations are necessary will tax the console a bunch.
I've had plenty of frame-y moments but nothing in combat so I've already come to terms with it.badComment

Can't remember when I enjoyed a system or game more...
To each their own
I love sports games but they are yearly.
A game like The Legend of Zelda Breath of The Wild only comes out once every decade...and even then that's a rarity.
I use motion interpolation so the stutters are not that apparent to "my " eyes...
Either way it can not take away from the sheer beauty and artistry of the game.Brand New Tomba Slider sets ready for Next Gen Versions of NBA,Madden and Fifa Stay Tuned...Comment

I have both and decided to finish Zelda before Horizon. Both are stellar games from what I've played so far. Everyone wins!Comment

Re: Nintendo Switch Announced, Scheduled to Release March 2017
Just got home with my switch and Zelda. I am most likely not going to have time to play for a few days though. Going to use my old tv to set things up while I watch some hockey and once I am done setting the system up I have to go to bed work 9-6 tomorrow and then going to go see logan tomorrow night.Comment

Re: Nintendo Switch Announced, Scheduled to Release March 2017
It runs just fine, just once you're in an area that has a real wide view and tons of grass and other stuff that calculations need to be done on it drops for a few milliseconds here and there. It's not like the game chugs along really at any point (that I've seen thus far.)
Also, I have seen nothing of the WiiU version at all so I have no idea what's been changed for that. Framerate drops aren't always due to graphical fidelity, more often than not it's the things behind the scenes that cause it.badComment

I think struggles is the wrong word.
