I don't know if it's possible technologically-wise, but I wish there was a modern open-world game with fully destructible buildings, AI with real routines like jobs/home etc. (and you can actually interact with those NPCs realistically), and on top of that somewhat realistic vehicle physics and damage.

It's always a little bit of this and a little bit of that, but never the real thing. Maybe some day...

So you want The Sims with an open world destructible environment ?

I think he just wants open world games to eventually have real breathing worlds and not what we have now where so many things are scripted to make it feel alive, but they aren't truly organic/dynamic. If we could have AI improve as quickly as graphics, who knows how close we could be to real organic worlds in games.

Also, in addition to my prior wishes (Jade Empire 2, College sports), it occurred to me that a new "Links" game would be sweet. The one they came out with on the original XBox (with Sergio Garcia on the cover) was awesome. I feel like they could have kept improving on that...

That would be cool and scary at the same time. I mean what if the AI get so organic and complex with the ability to learn, that eventually it learns they are not real. We are probably 10 to 15 years away from games becoming organic like that.

A Predator game similar to Friday the 13th
Updated EA Big series in 4K (PS/Xbox) or 1080p for Switch.
GTA based in Chicago that gives your the option to be crooked police.

The concept of Sims to some extent, when it comes to AI, but so much more. Need realistic vehicle physics, human body physics, large map, action, missions, side missions, destruction... it goes on and on.

Sims, to me, is just a concept of a living world, but it's just one aspect of what I want. I have no desire to play Sims, it's just not something I would enjoy on its own. I need so much more...which is why I said it doesn't exist.

If you want to make a base out of an existing game, it would have to be GTA/WD. Then you need to add the AI and all other features. Sims definitely can't be the base, but it does have some features I would like to have.

I've seen glimpses of what you want in some games. The promotion/demotion of the AI in Mordor when they beat you/beat each other. The promise of emergent AI in the aborted EQ Next.

If you don't feel like watching the gist of that is instead of a camp of orcs being killed over and over every 15 minutes, they spawn and settle based on organic criteria. They prefer sites along roads so they can jump travelers, away from cities because guards are bad. The game polls the world to figure out what stretches of road are 'less traveled' by players and they set up their camp based on that criteria.

In another example, a quest demanding you clear out the woods of a particular creature type could actually happen, and perhaps because of that eradication the game responds by sending larger creatures to reestablish that foothold.

You could translate that concept to a number of games... prostitutes and drug dealers splitting the difference between player paths and police patrols in GTA, police setting up command stations near particularly valuable areas leaving areas of lesser value plagued by crime and only mitigated by patrols, letting the AI play a game of give and take on both sides resulting in the sides regularly clashing. Could reasonably play a role on either side and the game could respond to your actions appropriately.
