Why did u guys preorder im curious cause i honestly dont see the appeal of this console*

After being a PS4 owner and now an XBox One S owner, I've decided XBox is simply the best deal for me as a gamer. And after buying a 4K television recently, why not get the most powerful system of all time to go alongside it? I definitely plan on having this be my main system for several years, so it's really not too bad of an investment looking at it that way. It's a lot of money, but I'll easily be able to pass on the next couple system upgrades from the competition.

On a side note, I really like how Sea of Thieves is looking even though I'm not a big online gamer. And having never played ReCore but thinking it looked really interesting, the Definitive Edition almost seems like a new game for me with all that's added to it. There aren't as many Microsoft exclusives coming as I'd like, but the list of enhanced for XBox One X games is pretty remarkable and quite surprising!

I'm not buying one, but if you don't want to build a crazy expensive gaming PC then this is the best, most powerful console out there. It's obviously for the higher end gamer, but I don't get why people don't see the appeal. If you're only PS4 then it won't appeal to you, but if you're Xbox why not get more powerful?

I'd love one but haven't been playing enough to justify cost. Might get a cheap Xbox One S at some point after I get a 4k tv, but no real rush.

I told myself I wouldn't do it...until I got the e-mail from Best Buy and I caved. Figure I can get at least $150 for my One S come November so that lightens the high price tag.

I am curious what Madden will look like on this console as opposed to my PS4 Pro.

I said the same thing and pretty much had myself talked out of getting one the longer it took for the pre-order to go live. I got an email from GameStop saying I could get decent trade-in credit for my One S and that the X was limited, and I got the X fever all over again. I made it to GameStop today and put down $200 on the beast!

Pre-ordered the Scorpio Edition through Microsoft (Amazon and BB were sold out). How much trade in do you think I can get for my old XboxOne? Im thinking about trading it in or selling it and putting the money towards a PS4 Pro during the holiday sales.

As soon as the pre-order announcement was made, I took off to GameStop and got the first pre-order from them. Now, the waiting game begins.....

Didn't realize this initially but someone pointed out that the console doesn't appear to be solid black all around but it appears to have a fade in it. Fades from a deep black to a grey.
