I'm the same. I wasn't expecting anything until around release. Whether it's release day or a week later, as long as I'm able to play around release I'm good.

I don't know if this has been mentioned or if I just missed it, but I'll explain why it matters to me. Granted I game on a PC 99% of the time with a monitor than can handle the frame rate locked, so comparing the two are generally not apples to apples unless the console is hooked up to a monitor.

30 vs 60 vs 144 to me is less about the visual. Sure 30 has a slight jitter look when compared to 60 BUT the main selling point is feel.

I'll use Rocket league as an example. A recent Nvidia or windows update reverted my monitors refresh rate to 60. We started playing a couple games and it felt like very tiny input lag. I was explaining to my buddy something was up, my car control was just "off". So I said, "it feels like I'm playing at 30fps or something". I exit the game and sure enough, the monitor was back at 60. I set everything back to 144 with free sync on and launched the game again. Instantly it felt normal without the input lag feeling.

While the visual difference does hit diminishing returns our aging eyes struggle to pick up, the feel of the controls can surely be felt by someone who games consistently. Now, I do have somewhere around 2 to 3,000 hours in RL between Xbox, PS, and PC, which I'm sure helps in noticing the subtle differences when compared to what I'm accustom to. I still feel the "control" of a smoother, more stable output far outweighs the visual quality and is worth mentioning.

Todd Howard had some interesting comments in this article. Certainly leaves the door open to games coming to PS5. Who knows. We will see what happens.

If you pre ordered for in store pickup at bestbuy they are doing appointments for pickup due to the pandemic before the store opens. When the store is open its fair game.

What I meant by fair game is you can walk in anytime to pick up your order when the store opens.

Is that a preorder bonus? I usually don't preorder games, but I will preorder it just for that suit.

I'm not the type to willing buy games at full price unless I'm certain I can go through mutliple playthroughs. This is a game I'm $100 sold on. Especially bundled with Remastered Spiderman. I'm curious to see more of the Remastered Spiderman and how the visual upgrades look.
I definitely love the suit and comic book art with the attacks. This is a suit I would also too wear through out the game. I just want to see how it looks when he has the mask off with the suit on. I liked the 10 minute clip they showed today with it. I just want to see how his face with that animated suit looks

Welp, my pre-order got cancelled. Gamestop sucks.

Looks like I'll be virtually camping out to see which stores will have select PS5's available, and accessories on launch night.

This specific Gamestop is notoriously horrible, and oversells Pre-Orders, yet, they were the only one left with a pre-order when the time came.
