About 70 price of course it sucks to have to pay more. I don't think any one when they buy any thing is like man I wish I payed more lol. But I get it games keep getting more expensive to make and yet the standard price has been 60 for like 15 years now. I have heard some people say SNES games where like 70 not really true at all. Maybe some where but most where not. Ps3/xbox 360 gen games went from 50 to 60. From like ps1 to ps2 games went from 40 up to 50. On snes most games were around 40. If you look at 60 back in 2005 that would be like 81 today. If you even go with the SNES and 40 back then it is about 75 in todays money. Gaming is already an expensive hobby so I may just wait a little bit to get games has a lot of games go down to like 30-40 in a few months and I have a big backlog any way. For like 4 years I had not played more than 48 for a new game because of gamesclub but mine experired back in november sucks they don't have that any more.

How about 4K/60 FPS for all games? I'm sure there may be other things here and there that it does better, but I don't really know what.

I find FPS to be the most overrated thing in gaming but the main thing is people talk about 60 FPS ever gen and how we are going to get 60 only for a lot of games to be 30. So I don't see that changing has they will just try to make a game look better rather than doing 60.

Well, there has to be a compromise unless people want another PS3 launch situation and have to pay $600-$700 minimum for a console. To get the features these consoles have will cost people hundreds more if they build a PC that can do 60fps, 4k, and ray tracing. Sony/Microsoft more than likely will be taking losses for a couple years by selling them at 500 and under, so I can live with not having 60fps on games that don't really need it.

I dont see how that is a reason for a pro. I know ray tracing is hard on performance but ratchet and clank showed a lot of ray tracing yet it was running just fine.

I feel that the 4k60 thing will be more so on the developers more so than hardware limitations. You still will have publishers who feel highest fidelity is more important for marketing. I feel that we will see, like with Avengers, more games opting for Graphic and Performance modes. I know some want the full PC experience with native 4k, locked 60, and all graphical features. But I'm more than okay with having option of graphic or performance mode.

That's why I hope Series X pushes the games to the metal. With the more powerful GPU and faster CPU, I hope they are having visually stunning games that are more AI-intensive. I think they are going to promote the power of console.

Consoles are catered to casuals who think high fps is overrated. These are the customers sony loves because it fits their description of filmic experiences.

There will be a ps5 pro and a new series x upgrade 3 or 4 years later that will increase the gpu and oc the cpu and perhaps add more hard drive space

this is going to be the norm. The ps5 is already outdated by the time you will plug it in. First party titles are all going to do 4k 30fps because that is how sony markets their games. FILMIC

Anybody who has played Madden, NBA 2K, COD, BF at 120fps or more will tell you that the console version feels like a mobile version.

I am sure all of you played nba 2k on pro or x and know the horrible fps drops in that game. Get a green release on the x and you see a stutter and replays and cutscenes are at 30fps. When you are playing at 60fps and cutscenes are thrown at you at 30fps it is jarring.

ON PC, the cutscenes, replays, post play movement all are buttery smooth 144fps on a good rig. Same for 2k and do not even talk to me about COD. The movement is amazing and fluid when playing at high fps

Also what people seem to not get is that the higher the fps the better the game looks. That is right it improves the visual fidelity of games.

You are 100% correct, I am in the minority because the amount of console buyers are casuals not enthusiasts. I prefer superior experiences over the brand name of a plastic box and their VR. VR is for casuals.

You think the 110 million ps4 buyers are gamers? Their most sold exclusive is about 15 million on a 110 million install base. That is because most console buyers are casuals who mostly just play madden, 2k, cod and watch netflix

I saw that video and the ratchet and clank stuff looks great and does had a lot to it. Seeing the reflection of the creature on the floor looks amazing.

When it comes to FPS I can't comment on any thing above 60 has I have never gotten into pc gaming and I think pc gaming is the only thing that has had FPS at like 120, 240 etc. I just know that 30 and 60 fell/look the same to me. Now maybe if I went from playing some pc game at 120 back to 30 on a console I would fell different. I know the new drift 5 racing game is going to have 120 FPS option not sure what options it will have when it comes to 1080p,1440p, etc. I don't know what % of gamers only do those things you talk about but I have heard that before. Multiplatform games are big for the reason you brought up and also Multiplatform games also help for those times were there is no knew exclusives for a while. Simple there is a lot more to play if you play more than just exclusives. How ever exclusives are the reason I buy a ps console over a xbox console because it is what makes it better then xbox. With out exclusives the systems are basically the same and there is no reason to buy 2 system if all the games are the same.

Well the closer we get the more I'm sure I'll be grabbing PS5 day one. Simply cant help it... I'm weak.
Switch, XBOX 360, PS4 until I know for sure I won't need it, PS5 and SNES mini..
Then the PC on other side of room.
Should have the Index in about 6 weeks to round off my "casual" game future.

All that's left is the waiting.
