Still have modular installs slated for Ps5. I guess they are waiting until Teardown and UI to discuss that. If I have the extra choice of what I want to install, that would save a lot of storage. As a offline gamer, I would only download the modes I play. For example with Madden, I wouldn’t download MUT, The Yard, Superstar KO. I hope they go over that more

I normally would keep the PS4 save files onto a flash drive and if I need them, I have them. I don't replay games either. The Witcher III is the lone exception for the current generation. Game Installs should definitely be a lot quicker but I am hoping that it installs the entire game.

I hate starting a PS4 game at times after installing it and on the title screen, it says "wait for the game to be fully installed" or some crap like that. I had that with so many games, mainly EA and Square Enix. It's so annoying because every game is automatically installed onto the HDD/SSD so why it doesn't install the entire game sometimes is beyond me.

Agree with the second paragraph. A game like Miles Morales would probably just be the entire game being installed. There's no co-op or multi-player so I don't see there being any option for a game like that. For sports games and others, then there should be an option to choose what you want to download.

I'm still waiting for the tear down as well as the UI. I do see Sony showing the UI but until they actually do it, im not expecting a tear down less than two months from launch. Sony doesn't have to do it. I hope they do but im not expecting to see a tear down until after the console launches and Digital Foundry does it on their own.

Well we didn't get that pax thing so I am guessing in early October we will get the UI shown and features talked about and shown. I would expect at some point we will get comparison shots of Spider-Man mm on PS4 vs ps5 to see how much different ps5 looks and also shots comparing Spider-Man PS4 vs the remaster on 5.

I do want to see what the Spiderman remaster looks like. I am tempted to get the Utlimate Edition.

I do hope the PS Plus Collection games are optimized for PS5 and just native games. A few games on that list but I rather play it enhanced.

I think I'm going to get the Ultimate Edition. They said we would see what the next gen version of Peter Parker will look like. Plus, considering Miles is more of an add on I figure I'd like to play the whole thing over with the PS5 enhancements.

I agree. I am tempted to play Spiderman first then Miles Morales. Since it seems like more than just a resolution and frame rate bump, it should have a next gen feel to it. I didn't play any of the DLC and it'll be over 2 years since I played Spiderman. So it should feel like a new experience for me again

I have went through Spider-Man 3 times and love the game and it will be interesting to see what next gen Peter looks like. But I do wish we could get this version on disk. But yeah looking forward to it. When we get spider-man 2 I think in 2022 I think Peter will look even slightly better than in this has the system will be a little bit older and they will have learned how to get a little bit more out of the system.

That's what I plan on doing, too. I loved Spiderman and all the DLC's when they released. I actually started another playthrough on New Game Plus earlier this year waiting on RE3 and LOU2. I didn't make it far so this seems like a perfect opportunity to get back into and see/feel the next gen difference. I'd like a little refresher as well as I'm sure there will be some through-lines between the events of Spiderman and MM.

If anyone is able to track down a PS5 (digital or physical) I’ll Venmo you payment within the hour with a little extra for helping me out. Not being able to preorder easily is such a bummer. [emoji20]

Yeah I wasn't able to get a preorder either. I'm just going to get my PS5 when the store have them in stock on or after launch day. As long as I have one by the time Gran Tursimo comes out I'll be happy. I've still got a ton of PS4 games to finish.

I usually don't replay games over after I beat them. But for the games I truly enjoyed, I'll wait a couple of years then it'll feel like a new experience. So after 2 plus years and PS5 enhancements, Spiderman will feel like a new game for me. I am very particular about which games I buy. But the chance to buy 2 new next gen games for $70, I'll be okay with it.

I do want to know if PS Plus Collection games are PS5 enchanced or native experiences. There are several games that I haven't played or want to play again. But, I don't want the native PS4 experience. I would imagine the PS Plus Collection games are ones that would've been in the Top 100 PS4 games Cerny was mentioning. Definitely want to play Uncharted 4 and God of War again, but mainly if it is PS5 enhanced. I don't think God of War could get the same SSD benefits because the game hides loading screens behind cinematics and slowed down sequences. But would still would love to see it get a 60FPS mode or a 4k with Ray Tracing.

That makes me a little sad. XBOX needs better exclusives though, and if they can bring them out of the dead and producing quality games again, good for them.

Is there a specific reason why the PS5 is so enormous? It’s almost ridiculous lol. It’s almost 16” wide! It will fit in my entertainment unit but thats crazy. Is this all heat and fan related? It can’t be component sizes can it?

I believe it’s all heat related. The series x is large as well but clearly not as big.
