I guess that's one way to hide a price increase on the digital version.

Selling a $30 vertical stand separately is also pretty sad when the stand on the original could be used for both orientations.

I have the digital edition. I think it's pretty ugly though I don't mind it all that much. This is the first generation of consoles in memory that actually cost more 3 years post launch. I bought the PS4 for $200 with a $50 gift card from Gamestop 3 years post launch.

Not sure if anyone has noticed but Sony Rolled out an update yesterday that adds a long overdue feature..

You can now check for updates on games In your library without needing to pop in disc or clicking on them to get them on home screen just to update them.

Now you can just go to your library hit options & scroll down to check for update!

This also applies to PS4 Games!

A small change but a very welcoming one!

I really don't like the PS5 design, and the only reason I care is because it sits rather prominently on my entertainment center, so I kinda have to look at it all the time. I much prefer stripped-down, sleek, borderline-anonymous black boxes, like the PS4 or the AppleTV. I don't want my appliances to call attention to themselves.

That having been said, I wish I would have just waited to get one of these smaller ones. Note to self: don't buy a system ~2-3 years after release. I missed these midcycle refresh consoles and the free AAA game offer because I activated my system 2 months too early. C'est la vie.

I thought the Wi-Fi was going to at least get upgraded to the newer Wi-Fi 6E or Wi-Fi 7 standards. NOT! They're still going to use the current Wi-Fi 6. The Brooklin version of the Xbox Series X will be getting the faster Wi-Fi 6E when it launches.

Yeah, I'm kind of all nickel-and-dimed out at this point. Not just by Sony, but just by all of commerce in general. At some point I started objecting out of principle to any "add-ons" or additional spend, even if I want it. But good that there are options!

It's cheaper....for them to make. That's all I got. They know there's a market for it at the same price, so they don't care. People will buy the slim after already owning the original, and then they'll be asking about the Pro version. Idk why people are the way they are.

You can plasti dip the covers to make it black and doesn’t stick out as much. It’s a cheap option and you can always peel it off if you don’t like it
