    Re: PlayStation 5

What a huge reveal this is if true from that hacker's breach on Insomniac

The Insomniac data breach has revealed Sony signed a deal with Marvel to make exclusive X-Men games until the end of 2035.

        Hackers are no fun.

Steal their stuff, hold it for ransom and sell it back to them, anything... but let them reveal things when they want to. It's just not fun otherwise.

Huge PlayStation leak concerning Insomniac's roadmap and Sony's business aspects. I won't post anything specific but will post the reddit link for those who want to see/know the info. It's all gaming related. But be warned, if you don't want to be spoiled on anything, don't click on any of the links as it's a long list of detailed info that have their own links and for anyone wondering, I have clicked on most of them. Not surprised by anything that I saw/read.

The worst part of the leak is the personal information that got leaked too.

Agreed. Even worse though is Sony's security or should I say lack there of as this is the second major data breach they've had in just over two months. They really need to upgrade/increase their security because at this point, it's simply unacceptable.

Do we know how they got hacked? It could have easily been a random employee clicking on an attachment/link in an email.

I work for a government agency that I would assume is more tightly locked than a gaming studio and we got hacked because of someone clicking a link.

I’m in our Cyber/IT Department working for the Feds and you wouldn’t be surprised at the # of times I’ve had to remind folks to stop clicking on random links on your WORK computer.

We send emails about this every month but they somehow find ways to **** up. Always makes me wonder how people like that get in their position when they can’t even follow basic rules.

IT at my job sends out those simulated phishing attack emails from time to time. If you fail more than once, you're fired.

If you’re relying on perfect users for security, you’ve made some mistakes. Sony has a poor track record when it comes to security.

That’s pretty toxic. IT is very much an HR-like entity in that scenario. Is anyone reading email at this point?

They do that every week at my place. But you aren’t fired. They do force you to complete an online security check course which is annoying.

                                They’re still reading them.

Now are they reading them AND following the instructions/listening to folks about what not to do? Of course not.

They’ll just claim “Oh I didn’t know I couldn’t do that”. Sir/Ma’am, yes you did, just say you weren’t gonna listen and we’re going to do what you want anyway lol
