Re: Official 2021 E3 Schedule/Discussion
Which is a good time to insert something like that into the lineup with so many people tuned in. It's not something the common fan wants to see, but it is something of value in general. I'm not going to lie at first I didn't fully read the lineup and only saw Take Two. But after seeing the interactive panel, my expectations dropped immediately.
Take Two in general never really has a big presence at E3 anyway. At most they are show off a game here or there. But, you rarely ever seen a Take Two conference at E3. Especially sports games. NBA2K is usually started around Playoffs/Draft and hear stuff around Gamescon in August. With Sports games, you don't really need E3 to hype up the game. You can wait. 6-8 weeks prior to launch to hype up a sports gameComment

This is a subject you want to be crystal clear about to your audience. This seems like a big miss.
You are given an E3 conference slot as a well known company with highly anticipated AAA video games you know the public is itching for info on. It's simply not the time to make your slot a social justice message.
One look at Twitter tells you all you need to know about the perception they received by doing this now. No one was expecting this. They are trending now in a very negative way.
Do this later this summer if you want to. They knew they'd pull people in that didn't know what they were tuning in to.

I work in marketing and I see this with a completely opposite view.

Nothing else I'm looking forward to as far as E3. Capcom's event is only slotted for 30 minutes, so I'm not expecting much. I work all day tomorrow. But, not interested in Nintendo's since I haven't been apart of that ecosystem since the N64 era. Maybe Bandai Namco might have something. But this E3 hasn't had much I was interested in.Last edited by illwill10; 06-14-2021, 03:49 PM.Comment

I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: Official 2021 E3 Schedule/Discussion
SOCOM 2 will always have a special place for me. Not only was it a great game. but it was also the first and only time that I have ever been carded to buy a video game.
Also to continue the trend...
I'm waiting on the full implementation of the next Unreal Tournament. Unfortunately that dream died when Epic created their cashcow Fortnite.Comment

Re: Official 2021 E3 Schedule/Discussion
Man this years e3 was straight up trash. I miss the good old e3. Nintendo's was the best and even than it was not that good like a 5/10. Nintendo is the one that you would think would have the most things to show based of when past games came out and such but no news about any 2d Zelda games being remade or TP, WW, Oot, MM HD or anything. No update of Metroid Prime 4 or bayenata 3. No DK is the franchise dead? No new 3d Mario. No Splatoon 3 either. BOTW 2 I am sure will be great has the first game is the best game ever made but no gameplay just a teaser.Comment

Re: Official 2021 E3 Schedule/Discussion
For me, the Xbox showcase was by far the best of them all this year and wasn't even close. Overall, the showcase gave me 10 games with 8 being guaranteed completions. Second best Xbox E3 in the last eight years only behind 2018. Stalker 2 looked great and A Plague Tale Requiem being in Game Pass day one saved me $50 as this would have been a day one purchase.
Ubisoft was actually second for me. Rainbow Six Extraction is day one as is Far Cry 6. Avatar looked great and would have preferred it to be third person instead of first person but it's okay.
The rest were meh at best even though the Koch Media showcase was crap, I added about 6 games from them based on descriptions which sound pretty good and the gameplay trailer for Scars Above.
Best looking game overall would be Forza Horizon 5. Like, holy crap!!! And to think that it was using last gen Forza Tech and is cross-gen. Can't wait to hopefully see Fable next year running off current gen Forza Tech and being current gen only!!!Comment
