    GOODBYE SONY

    I Know there is supply issue, but at this point I think its intentional. I can no longer wait to upgrade to next gen.
    At this point in time I shouldnt have to sign up for restock events to purchase a PS5

    Ive been a diehard PlayStation owner since the PS1, but IM making the change to XBOX.
    As a sports gamer this will be the second year that I'm missing out on releases, but it stops now. THE reviews of NBA2k23 is forcing me to switch my allegiance from Sony. see you, for this generation's console. Ill revisit you when the PS6 is released.

      Welcome to the green team. I left Sony after ps2 because I felt that console was never maximized. My wife did get me a ps3, but after joining Xbox fall of 07, Sony was never the same for me. Wishing well at Xbox.

          Honestly speaking, the PS5 and Sony in general have become anti-consumer. Especially if you live outside of US. First is this lack of supply but beyond that the price of the games is ridiculous if I wanted to buy a new game I would be paying ~$101 CAD after tax. Imagine buying a game a single game for $100. On top of that I'm not a huge fan of what they've done with Playstation Plus. PS+ imo is one of the biggest factors on why PS4 dominated last gen, but this gen Game Pass is easily going to dominate. There's also many ways to get multiple years of Game Pass for cheap. I have a PS5 but I'll most likely be getting rid of it after GOW:R comes out and I finish it because I just can't see my buying these games when they're so expensive considering my main console is PC.


          Also outside of US they've increased the price of the consoles for BS reasons. The console itself is very impressive though I gotta say if you were able to get games cheaper then definitely PS5 would be cheaper than PC Gaming in the short term. I mean so would XSX

              PS5 was just up for maybe 2 weeks on PS Direct so if you were serious about buying it this would have been a suitable bundle. $550 is a pretty cost effective bundle for Horizon Forbidden West.

              Congrats on the swap but the timing of this post is curious. I really don't care about console wars but just pointing out the obvious.

                  I kind of agree.

                  All of my friends have recently gotten their PS5's rather easy. 8 of us got it on launch, and the other 6 recently got theirs the past month.

                  If this was a few months ago it would be a more, "yeah, makes sense." Lol.

                          I jumped off the Sony bandwagon when they killed my beloved Vita. Man, with proper support, that could have been the handheld king!

                              I still have not made the jump to XSX or PS5 yet but for those having issues finding systems I would recommend trying a craigslist search in your city for one. I routinely see people selling their systems due to lack of time to play or just a lack of enjoyment..
                              EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

                                  my post isnt about console wars. its expressing my frustration with finding a unit.
                                  Ive recently started looking to finally upgrade because of the lure of 2k23. Again, everywhere I look mentions restock events.

                                          To be fair, I don't think he was implying anything about console wars. Just the fact the PS5 recently has not been hard at all to get. I have had two since launch day, but I have personally seen them in stock numerous times here lately, most notably PS Direct had a huge restock that anyone that wanted one could have basically got one.

                                          It sucks either way that a customer cannot walk into local shops and just pick the one they want, but just the way it is right now.

                                              I'm starting to see Series X's on the shelves at Walmart. So hopefully that continues.

                                              And as for the thread, it's cool, I'm just gonna ask that we move it into the Xbox thread now if anyone wants to still participate in the discussion.
