Re: "Lost" Season 2 discussion thread (Spoilers for the West Coast)...
I just thought of a new theory, based on the premise that the plane crash wasn't real, but is a "Brainwash" to get all these people together....
What if lost is something as simple as a group hypnosis. They gather 60 people together and tell them they are on a plane and the plane crashes....
As people start to wake up or go out of the hypnotism, some attendandats of the hypnosis come and remove the person from the room..i.e...the "others" took them. The story begins to build as the hopnotised people are given data or scenarios. Like they tell the group the numbers and ask each person what they stand for:
Hurley: Those are lottery numbers
Locke: Those are numbers on a hatch
Etc.
What's in the hatch:
Jack: An old computer
Kate: A storage room with boxes of chocolate bars
etc.
As each person tells what the numbers are for or what's in the hatch, they become part of the story.
Anyway, the story starts getting crazy, but as long as they are hypnotized they keep going along with it. I think the flashbacks are real memories possibly coming through the hypnotism or memories that were too ingrained to be washed out completely.
This is deeper than hypnotism, but its definitely all taking place in a room and not on a desert island. Anyone who has seen a group hypnosis would understand what I mean when a story gets going, people take what they hear as fact and build on it.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

I'm not sure how true this is or what, but my mom was telling me yesterday she heard on the radio that Michelle Rodriguez has been coming onto the set late and hasn't been getting a long with the rest of the cast, so she's getting killed off.
