I agree. You just never know. Either way I think Walt is the key player. And those 'special powers' is an interesting one. Who knows? That's why we watch.

you're right...I think Walt is going to be key.

I've read that Shannon's role is going to get more in depth this season...it may turn out that she/walt...possibly vincent have some sort of connection.

yeah, there has been some talk that the others were working on cloning humans. go to lost-media.com, they have a great forum there (thats where I got what to put in the barcode)

he tends to think about stuff and they tend to happen...or appear.

in one flash back he was looking/studying a book about birds and he was trying to get his parents to pay attention to him while he told them about the bird he was reading about...when they didn't he appeared to get frustrated and 2 seconds later the bird runs smack into their living room window and he it dies...Walt and his step-dad check it out....and when his step-dad goes to see Michael (walt's dad) he tell Michael that he doesn't want to take care of him...I believe he says that he's weird...or that he makes things happen...or weird things happen around him...etc. I'll double check the episode.

then on the island Locke is trying to teach Walt how to throw a knife into a tree...Walt tries and tries and he can't do it..gets frustrated...so Locke tells him that to visualize...to see the knife in the "minds eye" the very next throw the kid drills it.

then again on the Island...Walt is checking out the spanish comic and his dad gets mad at him and takes it away from him...later in the episode Walt and his dad get into some more and his dad takes the comic book and throws into a fire....and the last page that Walt sees is a page with a white polarbear on it...Walt runs away....Michael and Locke go searching for him...and when they find him he is being attacked by a white polarbear.

crazy stuff.

speaking of Walt....during his scene in tonight's episode he apparently whispers something that doesn't seem to fit with the movement of his lips...well...somebody has broken it down and actually ran what he whispers backwards....and here is what you get

There are a lot of new shows I want to watch - Invasion (missed it in favor of the season premiere of Law and Order), E-Ring (checked it out today), that Jason Lee show (anything he does I love).

I haven't been this excited for network TV in a while (since Friends). Plus I got a 52" TV so that helps. I also wanted to catch Lost, which I saw a few minutes of at the beginning today. I need to see season one before I see season two so I can catch up. I am waiting for ER tomorrow night and the West Wing on Sunday. Is Scrubs on Tuesday night? I missed Lee's show and Scrubs cus of work.

How many different connections have there been revealed now between the survivors?

Sawyer met Jack's father.
Jack's wife killed Shannon's father.
Hurley owns the box company that Locke works at.
Any others?

I wonder if the French woman's daughter has special powers? She mentions her daughter was taken a few times in season one. You can clearly see a girl on the boat with the "Others". Maybe they found the French Woman and told her they had to take the girl. Just like they did with Walt.

these two are only speculations....they seem likely but it wasn't as obvious as Jack's dad and Sawyer....I've got a feeling we'll find out more. Last season I had a feeling that all the characters were somehow involved with each other...well, now they are going to introduce new characters so I'm not so sure.

but if there are more connections to come...one I'm waiting for is Locke and possibly Jack's dad....the whole not walking thing. I'm interested to see why Locke can't walk.

not sure why should would have "special powers" but I do think that the blonde girl on the boat could be Danielle's daughter....can't wait for that to play out.

I imagine next week they are going to show us what's going on with the crew in the water.

Omg, someone posted this on a LOST forum at myspace and it's really, really interesting! Of course, I'm not going to put 100% into the credibility since they don't include the name of the book or the origin of this. But they do say that it's something Roussau had said. If anybody knows of a way of determining the validity of this, I would be eternally grateful! The only bit of information the person gave for the source was that apparently the person who found it got it at a rare bookstore in paris.

I think this falls under the category of speculation, but for those of you who do not want to know what the numbers might mean, then don't read. Please keep in mind that there's a chance someone made this up.

Here's the article they posted:

I recently found an interesting natuarlly occuring thoery found in our world that states everyone has a mirror image somewhere in the world. You may have heard of this. Its called Roussau's genetic mirror theory, and I must say it is very interesting.
Roussau's genetic mirror theory says that everyone in the world has an exact twin somewhere, however according to the theory you never encounter this person, by laws of probablitly and other natuaral occuring phemnomen. Its the theory that was devised by a French Mathematician named Marseille Roussau in the year 1988. He used a series of numbers to explain his theory. Now I know you're not going to believe this but here goes.

Let me explain...

The 4 stands for 4 degrees of separation (not 6 or 7 as commonly stated.) Roussau believed that everyone in the world was connected by four different people. So in theory could meet yourself by using four different people connected to you. Example: Your brother's, boss's, neighbor nephew, knows your mirror. Hard to believe, I know but keep reading.

The 8 stands for the eight continent, or the only place in the world where you could meet your mirror.
He calculated it to be somewhere in the south pacific.
Now we know its not actually as large as the other contintents but its used figurtively because everyone in all 7 continents could meet there mirror on the 8th universal continent.

The 15 stands for the chances of you acually meeting yourself on this place, as in 15 out of 4,815,162,342.
Look at the second set "815." Ring any bells?
Interesting huh?

The 16 stands for the maximum amount of people that could encounter thier twin all at the same time. Think about the number of main characters.

The 23 is the number of years apart your twin and yourself are. You are not the same age as your twin.
By chance and probablity it takes 23 years exactly for the same genes that made you to be connected again to form another you.

The 42 stands for the maximimum number of years your twin and yourself can be alive at the same time.
However people do die at diffferent times so thats why everyone isn't dead at 75. For example my twin was born on Sept. 6 2003 b/c i was born on Spet. 6 1980.
Now that doesn't mean i will die in the year 2045, I could, but its not set in stone. My twin could die when he is 16, and then the whole thing starts over again.

This is all very complicated and I don't know how well I explained it but the connections with the show are too coinidental to not be real.

Roussau and his team (wife, included) went to the 8th continent. You can figure out how they died and why by the numbers and equations. It also fits with every character. You can predict when they will die. There are others on the island who are twins of the survivors, but have been there 23 years longer.

There is a book Roussau wrote 16 years ago in 1988 when he came up with the theory. Thats where I got it from.

So? What does everyone think? It seems farfetched to think that we all have a twin somewhere, but nonetheless, this is pretty facinating.
