Anyone have any thoughts on Ecko cutting those 2 strands of his beard? I really didn't get the significance of that.

    Great episode IMO.

I'm guessing a strand for each person he killed, but yeah, I don't really know what it meant either.

This observation was made on a Lost forum I look at

When CLaire had decided to give her baby up for adoption. She had one request. She asked that they sing "Catch a falling Star" to her child, since that was the song her father sang to her while growing up.

-The mobile in the hatch played "catch a falling star", which was the song Claire requested be sung to her child

Just curious, which book did Locke give Henry to read?

She was the one holding Kate (supposedly since Zeke called her Alex) during the faceoff in the jungle a few weeks ago.

Did we know Alex was a girl before last night's episode? I could've sworn it was always a "he" lol

                      I forgot about that.

                      Alex - Alexandra.

I don't think Rousseau(sp) ever specified if it was a boy or girl before last night's episode.

Not sure if this is a red herring or what, but this is from ABC's Lost website from the summary of the episode last night.

When Mr. Eko ventures down into the hatch to borrow some tools, he figures out that they are keeping a man inside the armory and tells Jack he wants to speak with the prisoner. While Henry maintains that he is not an Other, Eko treats him as such and confesses to killing two of his friends.

Alright, thanks...I thought I, at least, had been under the assumption Alez was a boy.

It was "The Brothers Karamazov" by Fyodor Dostoevsky.

                            From Wikipedia:

The book is written on two levels: on the surface it is the story of a patricide in which all of the murdered man's sons share varying degrees of complicity but, on a deeper level, it is a spiritual drama of the moral struggles between faith, doubt, reason, and free will.
