I don't know where you saw it top 10, I was just on Neilson's website, and I went back a few weeks, not in the top 10. It was #11 two weeks ago. But yeah, Desperate Housewives has fallen completely apart. My wife doesn't even care for it anymore.

I stand corrected, I went to USA Today's website and Lost was 7 last week and 10 the week prior. Not sure why Nielson's website had different. So it's doing good in the ratings, I apologize.

The issue of how much to reveal while still maintaining good ratings is a paradox. If the show continues to get good ratings, theyre going to try to drag it out as long as possible. Things are going to have to be resolved and new things will be introduced. After a while people will lose interest and ratings will drop to the point where the show is axed and everything can be resolved before that.

But if they reveal too much too soon... there wont be enough to keep the show going and then ratings will drop from that.

Either way.. the writers are in a very tough spot. I heard from JA that they originally assumed that the show would be done after 1 season and that they were surprised as to how well it did and therefore it was extended.

I am a Lost fan but I have to also echo whats been said. I really started to lose interest when they kept putting it on repeat and hiatus for weeks at a time. Thats simply too long for me, I have the attention span of a peanut

I wouldn't mind DH going off the air, the wife makes me watch it and other than the women, its one of the worst shows on the air (in my humble opinion).

This past episode wasn't so bad but I hope they won't be doing much more with the hurley/libby storyline. A dallas repeat - i dreamt it... would really just stink.

Don't knock 'Housewives' without first investing the time in the first season. Sure the start of season two was terrible, but the creator Marc Cherry got back in the head writer/idea seat and it's really picking up. The show though will only have one or two more seasons before it devolves into too much repetition and even more of a soap opera plot. My wife and I budget weekly time for both DH and 'Lost'.

As for 'Lost', correct me if I'm wrong, but don't other shows go on longer hiatuses? I'm no fan of the gaps, but they are continually writing and filming...as opposed to 'Alias', which took a multi-month gap (I know Jennifer Garner had a baby and such). I'd rather have periodic episodes with room for recap if I miss one as opposed to a long gap of a few months. Just my opinion. I still love the show, but do see the conundrum of dragging the story out unnecessarily for ratings or tying it up and just capitalizing on the popularity and finisher her off in no more than two more seasons.

I can't wait to see how much bitching goes on next year if the producers get their way and LOST has a 3 act season =7 eps then a 7 week gap to 7 then another long gap and then 6 eps and then a gap.

I'm sure that would please people, and of course ABC would just rerun the episodes over the gap in case anyone missed them. Hell, weren't they airing the rerun before the new episodes on the same night for a while there anyway? It's ABC's cash cow!

Pretty sure every episode this calendar year as in the "about" for it, the earliest it mentions going back is for the episodes starting with the tailies.

Check out the link. Ana-Lucia decided to spend 5 days in jail for her drunk driving charge instead of 240 hours of community service.

Hard-core. She's really getting into character.
