To add to that bd if you did purchase on box, the total bill would be about 55 bucks a month. They have some standard NFL channels, and they show a game of the week in HD on an NFL HD channel. I say ESPN will be there soon, because they already have Disney whom also owns ESPN so look out.

Re: 720 p mode
Has anyone heard anything negative about the "50inch Samsung DLP widescreen?
I'm really set on possibly getting that.
I've already got digital cable, will I need to get a HDBox? So the channels that aren't broadcast in HD will still be in their format - either analog or digitial?
Thanks for the helpBeyondMediaOnline.comComment

you really can't do any better than the DLP, so that's a very good investment. as for the HD channels. your cable company may already be broadcasting HD-content, you would have to find out from them. if they do, you would have to get a different cable box that is capable of broadcasting that type of signal. it would still broadcast the SD channels as wellComment

My friend just got a 43" Samsung DLP. It's a nice TV but regular cable looks like absolute crap on it. I couldn't take watching it everyday. It would be nice for movies and gaming though. I also wouldn't be able to justify spending $3500 on a TV to my wife.Comment

Re: 720 p mode
Guys..I have gotten some very good info from this thread. Thank you.....but I do have a question that I'm hoping someone can help me with. I bought a nice 23" HDTV monitor for my PC. It has one each ...PC, component, composite and S-Video connection. I originally had my PC and XBox hooked up to it....the XBox being on the component hookup. RCN(my cable supplier) recently hooked up a High Def box for me...and had to use the component jacks, leaving me with having to switch the wires if I want to use the XBox. I also want to hookup my PS2 with a High Def hookup(is this possible?)...so I would like to know if anyone knows of some sort of adapter or box that will allow for multiple component sources and has one output to plug into my monitor so that I can easily switch between units? Thanks.
Also, what do I need to hookup my PS2 to play in HD? Is it a special AV/Pack like the XBox? Thanks
M.K.
