I love standup. That's my position #1 preset on XM is the Stand Up station. And my 6 disc in my far has at least 3 or 4 comedy CDs in it at any given time.Listen to The Remodeling Clay Podcast!

Another great comic was on comedy central last night, Greg Rogell, another great Jewish comic. And one I forgot to mention earlier Marc Maron, his "Not Sold Out" disc is one of my favorites.Comment

Re: Stand-Up Comedians
It's slowly dying but I had to toss a name or two in here. I have to say that my favorite was Richard Pryor as he was my first. Thing I remember about him was the tapes my boy had.
If you want to read the story, here it is. If not, just post:
I use to work at a camp during the summer cause it was the time when my best friend died from complications resulting from heart surgery. Campe was when I heard about it. Every summer I had to get out the house. Well, I remember it being one hot summer day when my draws were melting. I went in his room and he was listening to Richard Pryor. At first, I was a little thrown off cause it was a cassette (1998 I think). First year working there and I was more of an innocent type of kat. Came in there and I heard the loudest "N$#$%" word that you'd ever could hear. Thing was, it was funny. Stayed in there and went through all his tapes. Man, listening to Richard with all those voices just go my imagination rolling...and it's never stopped since. I'm still trying to find the ULTIMATE CD collection for Richard Pryor but it's hard.
Eddie Murphy is top of the line too with his Delirious. Eddie has one of the most on point impersonations I've ever heard. I loved his joint. "Dis my house....if you don't like it, you can get da f$#% out." Classic stuff on the real. Memories
Oh, and Comicview off of BET was pretty hot on the real when it was running strong. I always use to stay up and watch it.Comment

Re: Stand-Up Comedians
I saw Dane Cook live in maryland and he wasnt as good as his comedy central piece. What had me rolling before was when he would flip the **** out and be all over the stage yelling in some of his jokes, he would go from serious to crazy and back instantly. He only did that for like 1 or 2 jokes when I saw him live.
I love Jim Norton. He's so offensive its ridiculous, but I die everytime I hear his stuff, I can't even believe he says half of it.
The dynasty will return
Paul Pierce... talent + heart + toughness = The Truth
