It's coming soon Janurary I beleive. I've been watching sopranos on charter on demand it's really getting me pumped for the season 6. I forgot just how good seaon 1 was its been a while since I have seen the first season! Truely one of the great dramas ever to hit tv. I'm really curious to see what happens this season. Also, I hear we get all of the sixth season and eight additional new episodes sweet!

I havent really got into the Soprano's, being a late watcher and everything, but the show is real good. I need to borrow the dvd's and just start from season 1.

Think Tony will die when its all said and done?

It's funny that you post this cuz I recently rewatched episode 12 (second to last episode of first season) and it was amazing. It was great to see a thinner, less bald Tony be so depressed. I think the new season starts in March.

Yeah, the new season starts in March, and I think the bonus eps. will start airing in Jan. '07. I think I will rent Season 5 before then to get refreshed.

what can I say, I really love this show. I never watched when it was on tv, but have since bought the dvd's and am currently halfway through season 4. HBO on demand just started episodes 1-12 and is playing the series all the way through up until March when the new season starts. Can't wait to see what happens.

It sucks since I don't have HBO and will have to wait a year for the DVD set (though I will be keeping up with spoilers). My wife and I just finished a couple month long marathon of all five seasons...but it's not cost effective to pick up HBO for a show or two and maybe a movie a month (we buy a lot of DVD's).

And to the above poster, yeah, I think Tony will die. Having the knowledge of an additional eight or so episodes on top of the full season six make me think that someone close will be hurt or killed at the end of six (one of the real family or possibly Christopher) leaving a cliff hanger for the remaining eight. It will either end with Tony being killed, or being incarcerated. I'm just wondering how long they'll keep Junior around. They don't want to have another Livia issue, where they have to resolve a "real life" death in the show artificially (and hell, the actor who plays Junior is an old man).

Meh...I think the show has lost its appeal. I was a heavy Sopranos fan but the last season pretty much sucked IMO. Nothing of much significance happened and all they seemed to do is add new characters.

To answer you question, I would like to see Tony die. Not because I'm nutty like that but it would be a perfect ending to what was once a great show. If the show ends and they all ride off into the sunset I'll surely be pissed. Ethier that or he goes to jail like most mobsters do.

I believe David Chase has said that he didn't want the show to last more than 6, so I think it is just assumed that it will be the last.

season 5 was a big letdown in my opinion. it was the first season i actually fully watched. steve buscemi was very under-used. could've been alot better if he was actually a main component in it. the eps with drea were really good though

IMO Season One was perfection. It had a very Godfatheresque ending with everything being tied up at the end. I thought that Chase had said this is it, and it's much longer than the usual 13 episodes. It seems to me like he said this one would be 17 or 18 episodes and that would be the end of it. It's been so long since we've had new episodes that I've forgotten a lot of it.

I haven't been disappointed by any season of the Sopranos. I just think it's the best show that TV has ever offered. The show slightly disappointed with the season 4 finale that had Tony blasting loud music to force a very GUTSY attorney to cancel a contract, but the show also featured a fantastic performance by Edie Falco (Carmela) and the tension was always there. Very suprising that a major or semi major character (like Johnny Sack) wasn't offed in that episode, but the show has succeeded to keep the viewer off balance, sometimes to the disgruntlement of that viewer, who seeks a little more violence.
