I dont like to say that one band "sucks" or is bad or the worst band I've ever heard(actually, I cant stand when other people say that, too... but whatcha gonna do). There are different tastes for different people at different times in their lives.

I know there are quite a few bands I've gotten into lately that I never liked and there are a lot of bands I dont like now that I used to like.



But of the (non-local) bands I've heard, the one I like the least is probably Jet(I dont hear any creativity in their music... "Are you gonna be my girl" stole its intro from an older song and "Look what you've done" sounds like Thursday's "This song brought to you by a falling bomb,"which was released a few months earlier, so coincidence is probable). Or any heavy metal/speed metal/death metal music.

Went to a Better than Ezra and Jason Mraz concert in Norfolk last weekend, and BTE was pure trash! I liked their old stuff, but the lead singer was off key the entire concert. I'm pretty musical, so I can pick up on that kinda stuff and it was so bad, it literally hurt my ears to listen. So yeah, BTE for me.

Tough. Creed is an obvious choice, but I am with Blzer in that they may be the least original band out there, but they probably aren't the least talented(I don't like them, but they do have a little talent).

I would probably just vote for Limp Bizkit. They gained their fame off of the coattails of Korn and a George Micheal cover. At least on their first album they had some credability in the hardcore scene. I know a lot of people who loved them as much as Korn before either of them broke. But they went from a decent band to complete trash as soon as they decided to keep aiming for the charts. "Nookie" or any of their later hits songs would have NO place on their first album. They saw a formula for success and rode it, they definitely got their money but lost their most talented member and and respect they may have once had.

Wow, if Creed is the worst band any of you have ever heard, I wonder how many horrible, untalented local artists you have encountered. I have seen some acts through the years who would make Scott Stapp look like the second coming of Lennon.

Whatever band it is that sings the song on NCAA 2006 that goes like "I thought you loved me more than toast" or something like that. That is far and away the worst song ever created.

I don't quite know if you can say both. I mean... I'm my own worst band. Maybe overrated? I guess you could say something along those lines. But, I like their songs... whether they sound the same or not.

Why? There's nothing worse than a bad cover band, and that's what Creed was.

Creed ripped off STP, Nirvana, early Pearl Jam and every other early 90s grunge band and mixed it in that standard rock cliche, the power ballad.

Absolute tripe. Awful.

Of course I've seen wretched bar bands. I thought we were talking major label artists here.

The worst bar band I've ever heard was an 80s hair band cover band here in Syracuse called Tryxx. Quite possibly the worst cover of "The Final Countdown" by Europe, an absolutely AWFUL song even in its original form, that I've ever heard. The rest of the band's act was just as bad.

Why? There's nothing worse than a bad cover band, and that's what Creed was.

Sure there is. A bad cover band without an ounce of talent. Stapp may have been an egomaniacal asshat who couldn't write a song that wasn't riddled with rock cliches and religious undertones, but the other three components of the band could at least carry their weight with their instruments. Tremo is widely regarded to be a very gifted guitar player, even if he has been stuck in bands widely regarded as beng total crap like Creed and Alter Bridge. Flip may not have been the greatest drummer in all the land, but he could at least get the job done and was mediocre at worst. And the two bass players Brian Marshall and Brett Hesla were at least better than other hack bass players out there, like the guy from Korn. Believe me, there has been and is much worse than Creed, bad cover band or not.

I had no problem with Creed. I like several of their songs, regardless of what was "Stolen" or "cliche"....I still liked them.

As for the worst band I've ever heard....hmmmm....that is tough cause I've heard so many bad ones. I guess when I think of bad bands I just think about going to our high school talent show and listening to the several bands that played there. Since when did screaming incesantly while randomly strumming an elctric guitar making no understandable words or chords constitute as "talent" or "music"?
