I have to write a 4 page report on similarites and differences between Romeo and Juliet. Has anyone read it and can help me out?

I read it in HS too, I even watched the 1968 version of the film in school as well. Let's just say I got exited over the topless/love making scene

I read it in 7th grade, but u cant discuss and students cant understand fully some of the topics involved in the story.

I read Animal Farm in 6th grade, doesn't mean I understood the meaning behind animals taking over a farm. Then we read it in 9th grade and the teacher got into all the revolutionary stuff.

Yeah I read Animal Farm in 7th grade as well. I didnt understand it, i found that book to be real dumb.

I read Animal Farm in 6th grade, doesn't mean I understood the meaning behind animals taking over a farm. Then we read it in 9th grade and the teacher got into all the revolutionary stuff.

I thought my teacher did an excellent job dissecting the story for us; I'm sure teaching 12 years olds wasn't the easiest thing in the world. We had to read both the old and modern english acts, then had to write papers on every act. It was a huge portion of our literature class.

They still show the Zeffirelli?

Good lord, I hate that version. The Baz Luhrmann is much better, and I think would speak to teens a lot better nowadays.

I concur... I watched both last year and had to compare it to text; Baz Luhrmann's "Romeo + Juliet" exceeded Zeffirelli's version in showing teenagers the meaning, IMO.

I concur... I watched both last year and had to compare it to text; Baz Luhrmann's "Romeo + Juliet" exceeded Zeffirelli's version in showing teenagers the meaning, IMO.

Is that the one where they all have guns?? I thought that was pretty dumb.
